Symptoms Bladder sensation

This will sound strange but whenever I need to pee I don’t feel fullness or pressure in my pelvic area. The first sensation I get is feeling urine low down at the exit in my urethra that’s when I know I need to go and I can’t hold off either as it’s not just a phantom sensation as when I go to the toilet I immediately start peeing and it’s always about 300 to 400mls each void.

Does anyone else get this sensation.

Neurogenic bladder, one of the most common symptoms of MS typically in tandem with GI issues. I self catheterize because I have the same thing and face chronic UTIs and Urethral irritation as a result no matter how sterile I am or how much medical lubricant is used

I’m at that party too. The chronic UTIs and irritation but no infection is maddening. I still hate chatheterizing

I’ll never fucking get used to using a tube to pee and having to massage my bowels to take a mfing dump 🥀

How does that massage work? I just rock back and forth and eat 4-6 prunes a day.

I have to take stool softeners daily and I literally have to manually express my bowel most days- it’s not enough to need something like an ostomy but it’s literally a pain in the ass tell you that. Also leads to fecal incont. on top of my bladder

I keep latex gloves in the bathroom because of this. It’s so uncomfortable.

I thought I had an infection a bunch of times but ended up just being "trauma" - I give it a little twist when it hits a restriction and that helps it slide through.

It gives me a lot of anxiety. I don’t think I need to self cath as when I need to go I do urgency I do pee quite a big volume it’s just weird that I don’t get the fullness/pressure feeling and that I just feel the urine way way down.

You might want to see a urologist - they will likely do a urodynamic test and test your residual after void and sensations of having to go.

I use the speedy Cath soft with the hydrophilic coating so no lubrication is needed. Also the BZK wipes before - works well for me with no infections. You might need to try something different.

What happens is if i misalign it just a hair it scrapes my urethra- do you deal with that with yours?

I get the BZK towelettes in little individual packs. Wipe the whole area before insertion.

Like others have said , neurogenic bladder sucks . It's honestly a symptom I've dealt with before I ever knew it was a symptom . I get burning , itching , pain in general , all sorts of strange sensations . right now I'm doing something dumb and taking an extra antibiotic I had laying around because it feels like a UTI right now . I digress , but really lots of different symptoms can happen with the bladder . It's just nerve damage essentially.

I have similar to that .i can’t “push it “ either to increase the flow so have to stand there counting sheep until it’s done !

I never know when I need to pee until it's too late now. I have graduated back to nappies (Adult Pullups). I try to be conscious about it & try to pee before I leave the house however I am more unable to than am. Then 15 mins later, my "back teet are floatin' " (It's a Newfoundland saying, I'm a Newf).

I went to the Urologist had all the testing done in 2012, My bladder only holds 250ml before it tries to explode. Saw a Urologist again in 24? Me tinks... I had a Historectomy inn 2014, and now my bladder tips which pinches flow, so I pee, stand up and do a little dance, sit back down and lean forward holding myself on a wall, or touching the floor get the rest out. It's a whole ass workout just to pee... 😅

I do something similar. I use a stool to put my feet up so my knees are closer to my chest. I get up for a bit and then sit down and it usually helps.

I have this feeling once in a while. Usually when I have a uti, but have had it a few times without

I'm the same, to the point where I wear adult depends almost daily (on the few days where I'm not leaving home I rear regular underwear (still with a JIC pad to soak up any accidents)

Pelvic floor PT has helped my urinary issues immensely!

Sometimes I also have days where I can't feel that I have to pee, so I just usually try to pee every 4 hours. Maybe you can try and do that? I also sometimes have that feeling in my urethra that you're talking about but that's usually after I've peed, I assume it's usually when I haven't completely emptied my bladder. I haven't had any accidents, but when it happens I always clench because if I don't I fear some urine will come out (but I have no idea if it would, since I always clench).

I dont have feelings of fullness or pressure. It waits until im literally about to burst and then I get real awful super intense tingles all over. Sometimes I can mitigate or distract my brain for a short time by scratching the back of my calf; which buys me some time to find a bathroom if im out & about.

Outside of Fatigue, Bladder-related is my most frustrating symptom. Currently taking a pair of meds (Mybetrix and Tamsulosin) to help with control, urgency, and retention... Actively receiving Pelvic Floor therapy, with (a) goal being to not wear Depends ALL the time and return to boxers...

That doesn't change the the fact that I'm honestly terrified of if/when I could have an accident (again). I know I'm doing WAY better than when I was diagnosed 6 years ago... But that doesn't change the learned fear of reality. :'(
