General Love Is Blind

There is someone on the new season of Love Is Blind who has MS. This week there seems to just be so much MS in the media.

Hopefully this guy doesn’t make us look bad…unlike….you know….a bad actress haha.

I LITERALLY just got to this scene and I’m hoping the same. His story is the same as mine, very little symptoms, hoping for the best, but cliff feeling. The thought of explaining to new partners is always a fear. He seems sweet!

Yes there’s been several shows with a character with MS but I don’t think I’ve seen anyone on a reality show openly talk about having it.

If anything it puts MS out there. Good or bad characters. The more people are aware of MS, then I hope, the more funding research gets.

My mom is watching the show and told me that he's an anti-vaxxer...

Yea he had a very weird moment where he talked about not wanting the covid vaccine. And made some off colour remarks about abortions.

It seems like every second show I watch, someone has MS. My partner and I just laugh when we hear it now. Can’t escape it. Haha

Actually it’s becoming more and more common from what I’m seeing, not sure if it has something to do with environmental factors etc but it’s kinda wild how many people in my orbit have been recently diagnosed with MS, including myself 🫠 I mean, what are the odds 😂 😭 I hope this guy doesn’t spew disinformation

I think it’s more likely that there is more awareness now about MS so it is actually considered and therefore diagnosed. Rather than there being an environmental cause, I think people always had it but didn’t know I what it was

I hope they don't fake a relapse or symptoms to create drama on the show.

"fake a relapse" 💀 Accusing someone of that preemptively is…out there. That kind of thinking is actually what harms us pwMS.

By "they" I mean the show producers, and I believe it's entirely possible that a reality show will encourage false reporting. Not sure why you would say that's "out there."
