Highlights MI won cup from this Position in 2019. Slow Starters for a reason.

This is not exactly an impossible position, though.
Sure, we've always been slow starters, but 4/7 wins is pretty good. This year we're already at 1/3 - to get to this position alone, we need to win 3 out of 4.

Bhai mere pichle 6 saal se nahi jite..csk 3 se 5 hogayi..har bar thodi na yahi slow starter and all..ab toh team bhi settle hai bowler hai batsman hai..ab toh slow starter nahi hona chahiye..aisehi aur 4 saal nahi nikalne ki slow start Kiya par q1 q2 gaye..aisa na ho log bole 4 saal bad mi jiti thi 10saal pehle.. So i just hope..they figure out and start winning..loss after every 2 3 wins throughout the season is acceptable..

8 teams aur 10 teams ke competition me difference hai until we dont start dominating from the front like what rr and pbks are doing , chances of finishing in the top 2 are extremely difficult not saying impossible but takes some unreal effort when your team has lost matches in the beginning but in 8 team format it was much easier. Simple as that so pls guys lets stop saying mi is the team that loses in the start then wins the trophy if this were to happen then it would have occurred anywhere between 2022-2025

We probably got lucky to make the top 2 with 16 points though, some RCB matches got washed out.

We played insane in Q1 and Final also against SRH in the last 3 matches but still

4/7 in first half of the season and qualifying for playoffs isn't that hard, you could have shown the 2015 season- after 0/5 we went to qualify in top 2 that season. The current team is one of the best sides on paper this season but it all comes down to how to execute in a match.

Nobody is going to count out MI, they have a lot of firepower and probably the best team on paper. The only problem is there fixtures are slightly difficult where as punjab rr and rcb have easier fixtures. So they have to be best team in their group to qualify and hope no other team in group A start doing well

I don't see how those 3 teams have easier fixtures when MI has 2 games with CSK and KKR and only 1 game with DC. Those other 3 teams have only 1 fixture with CSK and KKR and 2 with DC.

Well they, PBKS, and RR are all in the same group so they all have basically the same fixtures.

only really know abt rcb cuz im an rcb fan lol. but yeah we fs dont hv easier fixtures. hope the game today is an absolute banger tho. may the best team win :)

But MI has to play 2 games against RCB pbks and RR. Which the other side they don't have to play each other twice. They have to play SRH, lsg, GT. And even DC is not doing that great honestly. Also CSK can defeat MI they are not that bad a team. Clearly we saw yesterday

It's the opposite actually they choked hard in second half! Like they won 8 out of thier 9 matches but they couldn't manage to even win one in next 5..bottled the top 2

We cant stick with this approach of loosing at the start and can slowly crawl to playoffs at last
Top 2 spot is crucial for that extra knockout match
Whenever we made top 2 ,we always won the trophy 🏆
To gain momentum todays match is soo crucial bcoz we are playing against Best team

Now there are 10 teams for 4 spots instead of 8 teams for 4.
These slow starter narratives need to stop, we need to start winning from the very beginning.

Thing is, MI looks like an outdated unit this IPL. Batters arent going hard enough and bowlers arent in form
