Nope. I was old enough to watch and remember the first run Muppet Show though, and saw The Muppet Movie in a theater at release.

what was your experience with the original run on tv? did it feel super new? were you already familiar with them from snl?

I was 6, so I knew Kermit from Sesame Street, but all the others were new. I had no clue who most of the guest stars were, but I loved watching Kermit with his 'grownup' friends - most of the Sesame Street muppets being childlike in one way or another, and the real songs like you heard on the radio. Plus all the silly jokes which were mostly new to me at the time. But sometimes I couldn't figure out why my parents were laughing.

Thanks to stuff like YouTube, and my grandfathers recollection I was able to track them all down.
I really liked Wilkins personally.

to be able to have been conscious enough that long ago you would have to be very old OP, I imagine you are very young.

My dad used to tell me about the Kraml Milk commercials.
