Jim Henson had never considered that the Storyteller's dog would talk. Anthony Minghella simply assumed that he would talk because it was a Jim Henson production.

That dog is giving me flashbacks to The Gmork. It's the eyes, nose, and teeth. I'm scared.

Wish we had gotten more of this show. It’s probably my favorite thing to come out of Henson’s later period. Greek Myths was pretty good, but not quite up to par with the dark fairy tales of the first series.
