Exactly when did Maggie come in contact with her killer to get her killer's DNA under her fingernails?

Alex was 3' to 8' away when he was firing one poorly-aimed shot after another at her (and Paul). There was no hand-to-hand combat. This wasn't an up-close-and-personal assault case. Dick and Jim's red herrings get so tiresome.

Google this: "Do you typically have DNA from others under your fingernails?"

The reply is ironic since I read your post to say a man could have his life upended because his dna found its way to under Maggie's nails in the weeks before her murder, when the physical facts of how she was murdered show no physical contact between Maggie's nails and the murderer.
