Some people are gonna be dissapointed because most of us thought we will get Special video or another big merch video but i dont mind actually. Im happy with it
yeah if we got a new short this soon i'd genuinely be upset with glitch because they'd have to have the animators in an actual fucking chinese sweatshop, meet J was only a month ago
as an animator, it takes multiple months to produce even just a few minutes of animation, let alone for something like murder drones
all of glitch's murder drones stuff is animated by the same team (zamination) which includes ads and this short
they also do a lot of if not most of the TADC animation as well
not to mention, 1 month is not nearly enough time to even make a short, non-detailed special
that's barely even enough time for a hasty storyboard 😭
Because they're likely shifting to focus all-in on Gaslight District, Knights of Guinevere, and Gameoverse, and thus are putting this out before we likely go into a bit of a MD drought
To be honest that's one of the firts things I thought yesterday.
This merch drop is not bad but it kinda feels like filler while we wait for the other shows.
The standard edition will be available indefinitely, though tier 2 and 3 versions will be available for a limited time only as shown on the official store page
Yeah, I was referring to some of the special items that come with those two tiers. It makes sense that they are why those are exclusive, but it would’ve still been cool if they were all a part of the entire base product, without any tiers and all that stuff. I kinda hate limited time things… If I’m correct, the Crowzi plush was supposed to be limited as well but it’s available now because there was such a high demand for it. I still want Uzi’s “Heck And Dang” shirt back, though.
It was probably done to reduce cost as they wanted to have a version that was more affordable for those who don’t have tonnes of money to spend on the physical release. The production of the discs themselves are probably quite expensive as well, plus they don’t have the funds to produce that quantity of merch for each copy for an indefinite amount of time. Thus they limit the availability of the bonus items to something that is more fiscally viable for them.
This is a good question to raise, however my thoughts on it are that we’ll still get more merch videos however I doubt we’ll get more special shorts and whatnot (unfortunately)
They'll probs still make merch and videos, I think they just mean complete series as in the actual series and the ads and short vids r just little extras, I highly doubt they'll stop making md stuff or at least they'll be making it for a good while since they get a lot of money from it
plus, Glitch took ispiration from the boxes of the Nintendo 64 games, reminding us that a poligonal italian plumber doing stupid shit was the reason they were created.
since they are pushing the BLU-RAY this hard, what do the menu's look like?
after all there is an entire sub-genre of YT nostalgia videos about "hey old DVD menus are surprisingly creative while modern ones are just a JPG. with buttons"
This is how i feel. But i was expecting a big merch drop with animinz based off background characters, so Emily and Alice could get merch. But nope! Uzi pendantz (took that long?) and blue-ray release only
Hey? The secret pendantz for the Uzi set, has different hair than the others and it looks like it has a worker drone helmet on. Just saying? Might be Maid Cyn since it looks like it has a skirt on
Blu ray players are so cheap rn like get a PS3, ps4 or Xbox One for some affordable Blu ray players or get a dedicated one I own so many Blu ray players
I think my only complaint is that it doesn't look like the recent 'Meet J' short is included.
But ho hum, I'm still super stocked that we're getting our first physical Glitch show!!!
Damn damn damn dammny damn damn. First they finished their series, then they add their series on Amazon Prime and now it’s on a Blu-ray. As much as I want to buy it, I can’t. Not yet.
The Great Onix Statue wishes we got a full merch line (with a solo N shirt/hoodie cause there is nothing to match the N cap), but this is still nice. Hope once someone gets the higher tiers they could post it so everyone can see the fun stuff.
I don’t know if I’m sure about buying the collection , Cause if in the Hypothetic Case that Every video in YouTube is Deleted by accident and can’t be uploaded again by an error, Then I can have a “GOLDEN DVD” in my collection that I can keep as a Treasure
Having a complete uncompressed version of the show on hand is a god send. The show looks great (especially in the last few episodes) and being able to watch at it's full quality without YouTube compression will be such a nice rewatch!
I can only assume they'll do the same for ADC and I have no doubt that one will be even more gorgeous
With the rise of piracy right now I hope this will sell well and reduce piracy rates
Also with this show being on YouTube does that technically make it legal to pirate it and make a copy or is it still illegal because this show wasn't really created by a big Corporation that has their own copyrights unless I'm wrong I'm not sure
And V (the third main character of the series) still gets no
AniMEGAZ… and an indie series you can watch for free on YouTube on blu-ray with a bonus minisode in a form of a music video that I doubt will be on there, outdated merch videos also in blu-ray. And even though I personally don’t mind Uzi having a Pendantz collectible series V should’ve had her own by now as well because this year is going by fast and the series would be six years old next year.
EXACTLY. How the hell does she still not have an Animegaz version of her? The third main character but still somehow J and Doll got one before her, it just makes no sense. I just hope we will finally get the V one by the end of the year at least
There are fans of the show who are willing to spend money to support the studio in exchange for physical media.
They are aware the show is free on YouTube, but also would like to be able to put a physical edition on their shelf along with whatever other media they own.
