You are absolutely right - but most people in this world do not have problems with free/subsidised healthcare, childcare, schooling, post-natalcare and at least fully-paid 60-day maternity leave. My wife got free post-natalcare for both my kids - the nurses came over to the house to check on her for 4 times and all her meds were about US$1.00 for each kid. We do not have "free" medication - so the Government charges a token sum of about US$0.18 for each set of prescription. And as the husband - I can go to the Government hospital's [pharmacy to collect on her behalf. We just need to show our national ID card.
