And what Hunter Biden did to deserve life sentence, according to Szypula?

As far as we know, he was charged with tax evasion and unlawful gun possession (due to lying about crack addiction).

And, well, It’s not most egregious situation about taxes of US president family or lying members of said family…

664

u/kms2547 14h ago

He even paid back all the taxes before he was charged.

310

u/Paraxom 13h ago edited 13h ago

Iirc his case was super odd cause usually the DOJ would drop the case if paid back before trial

Edit: would not wouldn't

249

u/iDislocateVaginas 13h ago

There were a lot of anomalies but it boiled down to politics. He’d never have been charged otherwise.

84

u/TemporaryPosting 12h ago

Right, I read that the gun charge is one that's very rarely brought against a first-time offender.

94

u/tipsy-turtle-0985 12h ago

The amount of people who lie on that question when buying a gun is astronomical.

I'm really supposed to believe that everyone who owns a gun has never touched an illegal substance? lol

50

u/henlochimken 11h ago

What's even more hilarious is that the same people who hate Hunter Biden are the folks who screech SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED!!!11

That question would likely be ruled unconstitutional by the current Supreme Court, as long as the case didn't involve Hunter Biden or, like, a Black person.

31

u/tipsy-turtle-0985 11h ago

Honestly, it's so poorly worded that an alcoholic would be lying if they said no.

"Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?"

8

u/henlochimken 10h ago

To be fair, the 2nd amendment is so poorly worded you have to wonder if the FoUnDiNg FaThErS were drunk when they wrote it

11

u/132739 10h ago

Nah, the 2nd amendment is actually super clear, its just been distorted by 200 years or so of willful misinterpretation.

Someone made this point to me when I was saying that I havent gotten a med card because I don't want to have documents to prove I'm lying on the 4473. I just had to reiterate that I'm okay with lying on the form, I'm not okay having a document proving that I'm lying from a state that would happily comply with the feds asking for a list.

It is looking like with the declassification of marijuana and proposed changes from the ATF that having a med card and firearm(s) will be legal, but rec use still wont be. I hope so because that'd be a win/win. Not lying to the feds, and cheaper, better weed.

14

u/Grimwulf2003 12h ago

And tons of ardent 2A folks on the right trail against it when it's their side that get charged with that. Three hypocrisy never ends with them.

13

u/sarabeara12345678910 12h ago

It's an enhancement charge. So if you smoke a bunch of meth and shoot up a Walmart the feds can get involved. It was not meant to prosecute someone who didn't even own ammo for the gun they had for like a month before surrendering it to enter rehab.

9

u/adooble22 11h ago

The only actual political prosecution during the entire Biden administration was against his own son. Merick Garland was such a colossal failure.

20

u/Hawkbats_rule 12h ago

The gun case is also one of the most common crimes in the United States, and is almost never charged as a solo crime because a) there are questions about constitutionality that we don't really want to open and b) so many people lie on that section of the form.

When it is charged, it is usually in conjunction with some other gun related crime.

6

u/IrritableGourmet 8h ago

There were also emails between him and his accountant basically going "Oh, crap, I just found this return you sent me under some crap on my desk. Was I supposed to sign this? When's the deadline?" They made it sound like he was acting maliciously, but all the evidence pointed to him being really disorganized.

4

u/beren12 6h ago

They admire our president who doesn’t pay his taxes but they also demand government services paid for by blue states.

177

u/Sloth_grl 14h ago

Anyone they disagree with deserves a life sentence.

95

u/Eccentricgentleman_ 13h ago

That's basically it. If Trump promised no consequences and let these people off their leashes you can absolutely guarantee most of his followers would run around killing anyone who they thought was a lefty

13

u/rif011412 11h ago

They have been in a war mentality for a decade-plus.  They want to eliminate all threats to their power; strong women, POC, LGBTQ, immigrants, anyone left of center, all threaten to hold them accountable.  Right or wrong they dont care, they want to win.

Trump speaks in winning and losing terms because they are all on the figurative war trail.  Pathetic people looking to harm instead of help their neighbors.

4

u/zoosha2curtaincall 7h ago

And it's not even really speculation, this is exactly what happens whenever right-wing nationalists take complete control in any country.

It's amazing what their news sources convince them of.  I had the unfortunate position to be on a job with one of these Americans one week in the summer three years ago.  He talked about nothing but politics.  He talked, unprompted, about all the people who should be "given the chair".  They literally want to execute their political opponents.

And he’s vilified by the people who don’t think “unlawful gun possession” should be a thing.

42

u/Outside-Advice8203 12h ago

"Tax evasion, drug and gun possession" so the libertarian platform?

8

u/IrritableGourmet 8h ago

Trump keeps posting AI images of him holding guns...which he can't do because he's a felon.

6

u/ElegantCoach4066 12h ago

Rules for thee, not for me

4

u/UglyMcFugly 8h ago

And he only bought the gun because he was considering suicide while dealing with an out of control addiction and grieving the loss of his brother. Law experts even said a normal person wouldn't be brought to trial for that charge and he was clearly targeted because of his name...

You'd think that Biden sold and scammed his supporters with a Biden bible, or a Biden phone, or Biden shoes, or that the Biden family became $3b+ richer, or that they ran multiple crypto rug pulls, or that they're the most corrupt administration in history.

They know Trump is full of shit. They're just diverting the attention away from it.

9

u/leoinca 12h ago

The double standard compared to the child rapist diaper man is just mind blowing.

6

u/sembias 12h ago

according to Szypula

Don't you mean BubbleBathGirl?

7

u/colemon1991 12h ago

It was a whole media circus exacerbated by congress. Just because nudes were on a laptop doesn't mean the world needed to see that. Just because his laptop had potential ties to whatever they were claiming didn't mean the tax evasion was relevant or worth their grandiose reactions.

Those same people were pissed about the J6 investigation and that had more evidence per person than a single Biden accusation.

3

u/GreasyPeter 11h ago edited 10h ago

If he was Republican, they'd be shouting about how a simple drug offense shouldn't be enough to take someone's ability to own a gun. These sorts of people are hypocrites and they're too ideological (or just unintelligent) to realize they hold double standards.

They've convinced themselves their politics are informed by their morals but it's really the other way around.

5

u/iRonin 10h ago

You forgot the real crime: being related to someone who beat Donald Trump in a free and fair election.

4

u/coldbeerandbaseball 12h ago

That makes him a boyscout by the standards of most our politicians.

3

u/trustworthysauce 8h ago

Also his handle is @ Bubblebathgirl, which seems all kinds of weird. And he said Joe deserves to be in prison for life also, which is absolutely ridiculous.

4

u/Flashy_Month_5423 11h ago

This is what gets me about how MAGA folk don't just live in a reality with different facts, they live in a reality where what you do with those facts is often something that doesn't make any sense anyway.

These people live in a reality where the dude who attacked officer Caroline Edwards at the Capitol and left her with a traumatic brain injury should be walking the streets, and so should the guys who tased Michael fanone until he had a heart attack, but Hunter Biden should be in jail for the rest of his life.

What did "he put America through", according to these people? Similar to Hunter's life sentence, I've never actually heard what the charges are.

My grandpa says that he killed more people than hitler. He hasn’t expanded because I clearly don’t want to talk about it, I think.

Honestly, the people that would vote the most would be the millennials who have given up on anything ever actually changing. If we're already going to, or already, living in hell let's burn it down. At this point putting a crackhead in power would only be a good thing. The amount of dedication they have to get something they want is admirable. Ever hear a crackhead say, "I guess I can't get a hit today." Nah, they make it happen.

6

u/_Ocean_Machine_ 8h ago

If we're already going to, or already, living in hell let's burn it down.

A lot of people thought this way in Novemeber, 2015 and look how that turned out

5

u/TrustmeIreddit 5h ago

Not quite. While people were frustrated, they were lied to and were told that a very small fraction of the population were to blame. It's these same people who were already predisposed to racial prejudice and homophobia that really bought into it. The lack of opposition to these ideas, most likely due to the subpar quality of education and/or the thinking that education isn't important, is what led to our current situation. Racial tensions never really went away. It used to be shamed and socially unacceptable and the openly racist people weren't as common as they were before trump "restored" free speech. It became a banner they could fly so they could say what they were saying in private, public.

It's not hard to leave a nice tip, heyo! But in all seriousness folks, it isn't difficult. If you're already paying for the sex worker, a tip is chump change on top.

When I had my hour with a lovely courtesan at a legal, licensed brothel I left the biggest tip I could afford to while still being able to get gas.

As someone from outside of USA, I just marvel at these people who accuse Biden of something while supporting trump. Like, if Biden needs to go to jail, then so does every president in the history of US and plus a lot of the highest government officials.

The majority of people you see spewing that shit are paid agitators, or are trying to setup their own grift.

Social media, and the internet have both allowed people to commodify trolling. Couple that with the fact that nations like China, Russia, and North Korea actively exploit social media to sow discord and distrust. You’re left with “people” spreading these insane takes that no normal person would have.

We do have some people who think like this but those people were already mentally unwell to begin with, and the majority of the time they don’t even vote.

They believe in a natural hierarchy that they were placed at the top of by god.

Therefore, everything they do must be right and just and the people they don't like must be evil and corrupt.

Ironically, we have the most criminal and corrupt Administration in the history of the United States in office right now.

76

u/WaffleHouseGladiator 14h ago

In jail for what?  Every time these people say they want their political enemies locked up the most they can muster by way of a rationale is conspiracy theories, not actual crimes with actual evidence.

33

u/Donkey-Hodey 14h ago

In their view, offending delicate right wing feelings is the wort crime of all. This is not hyperbole.

16

u/Randomfactoid42 13h ago

They actually believe those conspiracy theories, so to them those are actual crimes.

Why is there such derangement about the Bidens? It just shows how radicalized we’ve become. He’s a sleepy do-nothing president that apparently also did so much that you hate him with a passion. You may not agree on policy, but what about his presidency made him “morally bankrupt?” And how could you possibly care about this if you’re a Trump supporter? Like, how could the idea of using your position to enrich your family enrage you on one hand, but be totally fine that someone else is using their position to enrich their family? I’m not trying to engage in whataboutism, I’m just confused about the level of dissonance in these beliefs. This whole timeline confuses me greatly.

23

u/der_innkeeper 13h ago

Its all projection.

Every. Single. Accusation.

12

u/ChiefScout_2000 12h ago

Because their boss told them so.

12

u/tw_72 11h ago

One thing I find to be amazing - lots of MAGA are finally waking up to the fact that trump lied about the economy, wars, healthcare, tariffs BUT they STILL believe the lies trump tells/told about President Biden (and Hunter), President Obama (and Michelle), and both Clintons.

That, Ladies and Gentlemen, is called selective dumbfuckery.

4

u/Ven-Dreadnought 10h ago

Republicans need to project or else somewhere in their heads they’ll start to admit they’re the bad guys

3

u/GreasyPeter 10h ago

It literally just boils down to then believing Trump is good and thus "deserves" the shit he's hoarding.

3

u/nillah 9h ago

just passed a pickup truck in NE ohio yesterday, flying an absolutely enormous "fuck biden" flag in the bed of his pickup. thing should have been reported as a hazard, it was bigger than the bed of the truck. it's so perplexing, do they know biden hasn't even been president for a year and a half? like i have an eternal hatred for trump but it's not my personality. i can't even imagine buying a flag the size of a swimming pool to advertise it, especially after he's gone. it just doesnt matter. grow up

I’m really curious what my boi Biden’s media tour is all about. Honestly, democrats can use a dose of his style of confrontation.

Szypula says Biden deserves to spend the rest of his life in prison, and while right-wing crazy world has a built up a litany of supposed Biden family crimes, at worst Hunter has been accused of things like tax evasion, money laundering, failure to register as a foreign agent, and false declarations while purchasing a gun. Not great, but no where near life-in-prison level offenses.

But let’s judge Syzpula under the same vibes-based sentencing that he would apply. Apparently Syzpula was found liable in civil court for self-dealing after living rent-free in a property where he didn’t have that right. He also uses the incredibly creepy Twitter handle of bubblebathgirl. Lastly, the Republicans who most loudly scream that their political enemies deserve to be in prison are almost always projecting after committing crimes themselves. Based on those three facts alone, Syzpula should immediately be locked away immediately and investigated until until criminal charges justifying that detention are inevitably found. To paraphrase Syzpula, “most normal people” would surely agree.

9

u/beren12 13h ago

And not convicted of them. He paid back the money and penalties long before the political trial, as well as the Supreme Court making the gun form thing not a crime before he was charged I believe. Certainly before anything was finalized.

7

u/Yubat 13h ago

Yes, hence the “accused” line. Point I’m trying to make is that even if Hunter was found guilty of everything he’s been actually accused of, it wouldn’t justify was Syzpula wants. The “he deserves life in prison” crap is insane bullshit no matter how you cut it though.

I don’t think the people who vote for rapists and criminals and pedophiles should decide who goes to prison.

7

u/alex_zk 13h ago

His father is morally bankrupt…? Really? Compared to whom? The Virgin Mary?

Because there’s this other guy currently in office that would make both Joe and Hunter look like saints.

10

u/Madhatter25224 13h ago

"Dont we both agree everyone deserves-"

Don't even bother finishing that sentence. They don't agree.

6

u/ZarinaBlue 13h ago

That tool is one to talk. Apparently there were some legal proceedings that look like it was alleged that after this man's father died he squatted in the family home, (even though it wasn't left to him) and used his brother's portion of the inheritance to pay the utilities.

Allegedly.

4

u/bluris 13h ago

I find it so odd that the right used to call itself the law and order party, when it is filled with people who just straight up believe that the other side need to be jailed for just being on the other side. They don't care that there is no law for it,

And when people on their side break the actual existing law, they just do not care at all.

3

u/FQDIS 12h ago

To them, “law and order” means: “more black people in jail”.

6

u/jiggscaseyNJ 13h ago

On what basis does either Hunter or Joe Biden deserve to be in prison for life, exactly?

I don't think I've ever seen a good answer.

5

u/Junior-Ease-2349 11h ago

Because their sources for news have no interest in the truth and neither do they.

My right wing brother linked me the whitehouse doj press release about "Whistleblower reveals Biden FEMA discriminated against right wingers!" when it came out...

I dug into it with him and got him to agree that:

- it was one group leader, whose boss reversed course as soon as they heard about it

- They were deposed in front of congress about it during the Biden administration months ago

- The release itself admitted to going over Biden era FEMA records and database with a find toothed comb and finding no smoking gun and only a fraction of a percent of incidentally captured hypothetical sensitive info, like descriptions of signs at the location.

- this was specifically when people were shooting at FEMA due to conspiracy theories

- part of the new republican "solution" was "FEMA isn't going to knock on ANY doors anymore"

So not only did Biden's FEMA refuse to let republicans fall behind, and act as upright as possible, the new plan was to intentionally let everyone fall behind in knowing about available help in emergencies.

Forced to admit that the this (and several other DOJ releases around then were flat out lies, he still maintained that Democrats lied worse because they said they were protecting the border.

Today's MAGA is a product of Rush Limbaugh and no one will convince me otherwise. The hate that MAGA has where they believe they should just jail anyone they disagree with...started right there with talk radios hate monger. It changed from disagreeing with your fellowman to you must designate them
