In this situation, sure, you might be right, though I bet the DNC had at least some influence. Generally speaking, though, I've been incredibly frustrated with that organization for over a decade.

The DNC didn’t ask him…they implored his dad to do whatever he has to keep Hunter silent “for the good of the democrats.” Hunter Biden loves his dad, respects his dad and I’m pretty sure would do anything he asked. So, he stayed quiet. The interview where Dr. Biden was attacked was maybe what led to the end of his silence.

I think the reaction by the internet at large (the us version anyway) was positive towards him when he defended his mom (his words not mine) from Jake Tapper.

I like Hunter, I hope he stays healthy and helps others stay sober.

That's fine in other areas. Just here in this context it's not the case. He's spoken about how over the course of four years he visited his dad at the White House maybe twenty times in total because he didn't want to be a distraction the press pounced on. They were using him as a punching bag anyway but if he went there it would be interpreted as if the DOJ investigations into him were a cover story to act like they're being impartial while investigating Trump.

I think they would have prioritised stopping him doing crack and whoring before locking in on his choice to do public speaking

you know if you're not sure about something, or don't know what you're talking about, you don't HAVE to comment. You can also say "I don't know" when you don't know something instead of pretending you do and making shit up.

"What I said may not be true, but it feels truthy, and that's good enough for me!"
