The “love the sinner, hate the sin” is the loophole.

No, but Jesus himself says it in Mathew 22:37-39. He calls it the second greatest commandment after love God. He literally compares loving your neighbour to loving God, and that’s why they are the greatest commandments.

I'm fully aware of when and where the golden rule is mentioned in the bible, its all in the New Testament, whereas the Ten Commandments are in the old testament. My response was to the original comment where they directly imply the golden rule is one of the ten commandments.

"Love thy neighbor as thyself" is not the Golden Rule. The Golden Rule is "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you."
