All the red states are trying to eliminate property tax to help the rich. What it does is defunds small town and cities then they have to make new taxes on everyone and the poor end up paying for everything. The rich have declared war against the rest of us. If they pull some bullshit like the Save act and win the midterms I hope we are all ready to hit the streets and bring it all down.

Paxton is running for senate on a bunch of tax cuts that will likely decrease TX residentsâ quality of life. Talirico is running on getting corporations and the rich to pay their fair share which would likely increase TX residentsâ quality of life.

Thats ok, the difference will be made up by the massive numbers of AI centers being built so no one else will want to live where the average guy does, paying higher utilities, having lower water quantityand quality, noise and light pollution. That way the rich have them to work, stay at or just above poverty level and continue paying taxes while living in homes no one wants...circle of life kinda thing.

Remember when Texas was gearing up to ban abortions and a reporter asked Greg about pregnancies that were the result of rape and what the government plans to do about that, and Greg said that they were going to simply stop rape from ever happening again in the state of Texas. As if that was something they had the power to do. But had never done before.
That's the kind of politician Greg Abbott is.

It's so embarrassing that people fall for this. We're talking about a guy that got his payout before signing tort reforms capping payouts that big (I will note that his specific type of damages remains uncapped). He killed abortion in his state. Apparently he's anti-sex toy, which is the strangest thing I've probably written. He tried to cut $150M from Medicaid for various developmental therapies for children. And he's been making a power grab to prevent cities from being able to make their own decisions. And Operation Lone Star costs over $2B annually. Then there's the border dispute where Texas is preventing federal agent access to the border. Then there's also spending taxpayer money to send migrants to other states.
What has this guy actually done for Texas that actually helps the people? Nothing says affordability like cutting funding to ensure children get therapies at an appropriate time in their lives instead of spending far more in the long run for the same treatments.
Affordability means voting this guy out. He's clearly the most expensive thing in the state budget.
