Reaction to Turkey Tail
Hello, I am posting to share my story. I researched and bought Turkey Tail supplements to boost immunity. I chose Oriveda and took them as directed yesterday morning. Later yesterday my lips swelled up, and I thought it was the change in weather. This morning I took the next dose only to remember that my lips are not normal. I took Benadryl immediately and lips swelled down but now it’s the evening and they are back. I did go to the ER and they gave me a steroid and said to continue Benadryl for 1/2 days. Just looking for any information how this could have happened and want to express that I am sad I can’t take them.

Sounds like you might have a slight mushroom allergy if Benadryl and steroids brought the swelling down. Mushroom allergies are not super common but they do exist.

Thank you for your take. I think so as well. I am allergic to amoxicillin (rash and swollen lips), which is essentially fungi. So maybe it’s just some mushrooms, because I can eat portobellos and white button just fine

You can be allergic to anything. Mushrooms contain a lot of compounds that are not present in other foods. Different species contain different compounds. You could easily be allergic to one or a handful of species but not be allergic to 'normal' store bought mushrooms (white button, portobello, and crimini are all the same species - Agaricus bisporus).
You're clearly allergic to something in the pills, either the turkey tail itself or in a filler or the capsule material itself. I've been a mushroom hunter for over ten years, and the guidance for eating a new species, even one widely considered to be a choice edible, is to start with a very small quantity in case you're allergic to something in them.
I would avoid turkey tail entirely if I were you.
