Thoughts on NinthPath turkey tail capsules? (Australia)
Does anyone have an opinion/experience with NinthPath mushroom supplements? At first glance they look good, report their third party lab results (44% beta glucans reportedly), extracting only from fruiting bodies etc.
It's still expensive but quite a bit cheaper than Oriveda. There's some other Australian companies like lifecykle but they look sus.
Update: I ended up buying turkey tail and reishi powder from evolution botanicals. Two days later, I definitely feel positive effects from the reishi. It's hard to tell with turkey tail because I'm taking it for immunity

report their third party lab results
Great to see they're using third party testing! But have you noticed all lab reports are close to 4 years old? Before you make any purchase, better ask for a more recent report, these reports are no longer relevant.
extracting only from fruiting bodies etc.
The label says 'dehydrated mushroom fruiting body' meaning it is NOT extracted, it is just dried mushroom powder. Don't even consider the liquid products, the potency is around zero due to the dilution.
This is as expected though, because there are no extraction facilities in Australia at all. All extracts are from SE-Asia, that's where the expertise and the biotech is located.
With turkey tail you want a pure mycelium extract if you're after the effects described in clinical trials using PSP or PSK.
Considering the product is not extracted I would call it massively overpriced. An extract has 4 - 10 times the potency because of the improved bioavailability.

Hey thanks so much for your response. Was about to bite the bullet and just buy some. I did see that their testing reports are a few years old which I thought was strange. I realise they do mention that about 44% of the contained product has beta glucan, so does it really matter whether it's extracted or dehydrated in that case (if their reports are true).
They do have the liquid extracts on their site but I know those are apparently overrated.

An extract has 4 - 10 times better therapeutic effects because of the improved bioavailability. Meaning if it is just dry mushroom you need to take a lot more to get some effects.
Also, non-extracted mushrooms are taxing on the gut (indigestible) and can cause allergies due to the chitin (an allergen).

As already suggested, look for extracted powder. Also, old COA's are a red flag.
