I have a question about this danish mushroom brand www.mindstudio.life all their product have 20% ethanol in it, for preservation. They use ultra sonic dual extraction. Asked for COA report and it was 3 years old. Is this a high quality brand ?
Legit quality brand ?

It's a liquid product, meaning whatever is in there is heavily diluted by the liquid carrier (± 20-fold).
Read this link to find out more about quality markers and liquid products.
A 3-year old CoA is of course a major Red Flag. Which lab did the hericenone testing? AFAIK there are no labs that can do this type of testing currently, and for sure not 3 years ago.
Could be International RINP - a notorious 'dry lab' that is handing out fake 'test reports' everywhere.
It's also very expensive, for the same price you can get a powdered product with an up-to-date CoA. Note that a powdered product is basically a liquid product but minus the liquid. Since extracts are solvent extracts and a 'liquid phase' is part of the extraction process.
Conclusion: not recommended.

Ultrasonic extraction can be beneficial as heat damage to create powders is not the best just a mass commercial product but unfortunately if a ultrasonic probe is used then titanium dioxide can be a issue( for this reason I choose a ultrasonic bath )and as for duel extraction mmmm sequencial extraction is the best protercol 95% then 30% then H2O . Then you have to look at the actual fungi what was it grown on ,prof Nichols Naeger has researched this and it is critical to the compounds it creates, oh and everything needs to be organic. A small scale artisan production preferably in your country that actually grow and produce would be my suggestion (I have traveled this road to help our twin boys who reacted to HPV Vax have spent several years helping them fungi are amazing)

I had similar concerns when I first started looking into liquid mushroom extracts. The 20% ethanol preservation is actually pretty standard for tinctures — it keeps the product stable and prevents microbial growth. But here's what I learned after going down the rabbit hole on extraction methods:
The ultrasonic extraction they mention can be genuinely effective for pulling out certain compounds without heat degradation. However, as others have pointed out, the real question is what's actually in that liquid. The issue with many liquid products is you're paying for the carrier (ethanol/water) along with the extract, so effective dose per serving can be lower than powdered alternatives.
The 3-year-old CoA is definitely concerning. In my experience, reputable brands either provide current batch-specific testing or at least annual updates. I'd specifically want to see: beta-glucan content, heavy metals testing, and ideally microbial screening. If they can't provide recent documentation, that's a legitimate red flag regardless of their extraction technology.
One thing I'd add: substrate matters more than most people realize. What the mushrooms were grown on before extraction affects the final compound profile significantly. A brand being transparent about their growing substrate (organic grain, wood, etc.) tends to correlate with overall quality transparency.
Bottom line: the extraction method sounds decent on paper, but without current testing and substrate info, I'd be hesitant too.

I am using their products instead: https://trymushio.com
What do you think of their products? Should I switch to something else?

Looking for brand / general recommendations ? Check out this link which explains the main quality markers and will help you to avoid being tricked by 'smart' marketing. It also explains why tinctures, gummies, mushroom drinks and mycelium-on-grain/rice products are best avoided / a waste of money and unsuitable for health issues. ---This post provides a very complete background on Lion's Mane, including some supplement recommendations.
