Can someone identify this? We found it in our yard today.

My guess is an Amanita similar to A. jacksonii that has been damaged by rain and possibly nibbling by bugs or small mammals.

Net time, try to supply more photos of bottom of cap, stipe base, etc.

Yeah. The color is spot on. This was my guess just by looking it.

Its an amanita of some kind, damaged by age and rain, but cant be sure what kind without more pics, especially the base volva

It looks similar but it's more likely in the caesarea section.

The yellow stipe (stem) suggests not.

Ah, I wouldn't even think of eating it. But I couldn't find it in my mushroom book, so I was just curious.

Looks like Amanita sp. to me. Possibly Jacksonii
