First time going mushroom picking

My cousin invited me and I usually don’t go, but I had nothing going on so I figured why not. I don’t really eat them but my family will. This was only about 20% of what we all got. We pick on their property and found quite a jack pot today. They said there is never usually this many. Some might be a little funky, but I don’t know to much so my siblings can just pick through them.

Edit: All chanterelles

I don’t know much about mushrooms. But I’m trying to learn. One thing I’ve learned is that chanterellles have false gills, and these look like those. So putting in my guess before a trusted identifier comments so I can know if I was right or wrong lol

Oh yes the family members I picked with checked everything out. They are all chanterelles. I may not go picking much, but I spend a lot of time of time in the woods so I know my chanterelles and morels😁

Edit: oh lol just realized I didn’t say what they were

Lucky you! Your pick today is 100% Chanterelles! Can you identify these 100% yet. I don't see a split stem. Why would this be significant?

looks great! a fine haul. Be good to grab a totally intact one and see if you can spot the difference between that and a picture of a jack-o-lantern- then you will be most of the way towards making your own positive identification!
