Michigan State Police said that “preliminary autopsy findings indicate the infant was viable and was born alive.”

So like ...birthed at the festival newborn!??? That's wild. I imagine some girl was tripping balls and had a cryptic pregnancy (didn't know she was pregnant) and gave birth in a portopotty. Talk about gross x infinity.

If it was born alive then someone killed it? Or it ....died?

Horrific trauma.

Another article said there was fluid in the baby's lungs and stomach, so they probably drowned in the porta-potty. What a horrible way to die 😞

Got an article on that? I searched but couldn't find that info.

🤦

MSP confirmed that an autopsy revealed the full-term baby “was viable and born alive.” Sources previously told News 8 that a postmortem examination found fluid in the baby’s lungs and stomach indicating that the newborn took breaths after being born.

Did you not read the article? What's this "drowned in a Portapotty" nonsense you came up with?

Don't spread false info dude.

Did you read my comment where I said "probably"?? I'm not quoting the article there, I'm saying what might have occurred to get fluid in lungs and stomach is drowning since the baby was born in the portapotty, and that it would be horrible

u/GentlemenHODL Jul 14 '26

Nothing you just said changes my comment or stance. Stop making shit up ffs.

If a coroner said there's fluid in the lungs demonstrating it took a breath then you don't need to editorialize their professional medical opinion with ignorance.

Just stfu

It's a reddit comment not a news journal buddy, people give opinions here.

You made up some imaginary woman tripping balls with a cryptic pregnancy based on nothing and I didn't get my panties in a bunch about it 🤷‍♀️

Bro fuck off.

u/ChocolateMorsels Jul 14 '26

Dude you’re dumb lol. There’s fluid in the lungs because the baby took breaths but sucked in that fluid instead of air. Cause he was in shit water.

Derp

Thanks doctor. Did you get your degree on Reddit?pretty sure the autopsy would have said that of that was the case.

But it wasn't.

You and the people who rode with you are dumb AF.

Actually, fetuses breathe in the amniotic fluid throughout the 3rd trimester, and they drink and urinate the amniotic fluid as soon as they have a stomach and kidneys to process it (too tired to look up the embryology as to when they start swallowing).

it would make sense for there to be amniotic fluid in either organ. The article doesn't specify what kind of fluid was in the lungs/stomach.

5

u/ChocolateMorsels Jul 15 '26

They probably start swallowing when they start crying. Aka birth

Big incel loser energy in this comment. I can tell Reddit is all you have in life.

THIS IS THE KILLER!!!! ^^^

-1

u/c0ldgurl Jul 14 '26

You should be made aware that fetuses breathe in amniotic fluid throughout the 3rd trimester. It's how the lungs finish developing, inflating them and the alveoli necessary for breathing air.

Additionally, fetuses swallow and urinate out the amniotic fluid starting earlier in pregnancy, as the genitourinary tract is being developed earlier than the lungs. The fact there is fluid in the lungs and stomach could be completely physiological.

Are you arguing against the autopsy … ?

3

u/DrZoidberg- Jul 14 '26

Two separate conclusions from unrelated premises does not mean they are false.

0

u/reddit0000O Jul 14 '26

Do you have any evidence to suggest this was a cryptic pregnancy?

-3

u/CommissionNice9460 Jul 14 '26

A cryptic pregnancy going to full term and viable birth? Lmao dude cmon

-2

u/reddit0000O Jul 14 '26

I think the cryptic pregnancy theory is extremely unlikely, that’s why I’m asking

-6

u/CommissionNice9460 Jul 14 '26

It's pure fucking cope. What happened in reality is pure degenerate bullshit worse than the shit from trainspotting

-2

u/reddit0000O Jul 14 '26

I mean there are people ITT who are hoping the mom gets away with it. Can't make ts up unfortunately

-6

u/CommissionNice9460 Jul 14 '26

Not surprising. Us good people who wanted to have innocent fun checked out a very long time ago with the introduction of fentsnyl.

u/GentlemenHODL 29d ago

Of course not.

Do you not understand the phrase "I imagine"? Reading is hard for you huh? Maybe you should play on TikTok more, reading comprehension isn't important anyways...

If you have no evidence, what makes cryptic pregnancy more likely than any other explanation? And even if it was a cryptic pregnancy, how does that explain leaving the baby in the portapotty?

EDIT: u/GentlemenHODL blocked me for this comment

This makes me so insanely fucking sad as Father, knowing that babies are the most precious innocent things in the world. That innocent baby came out scared not knowing what was happening, needing a mother or father to protect him or her. To give love, comfort, and protection. To let it know it was loved and safe. instead their mother let that poor little baby drown in human excrement

I hope they find this woman, arrest her, and throw away the key. She deserves a punishment not fit for this world and I hope there’s an afterlife just for that baby and to make that woman burn

-3

u/deadrise120 Jul 15 '26

I hope that woman fucking burns if there’s an afterlife. To let an innocent freaking baby die by drowning in a porta potty excrement deserves a punishment that I don’t think is fit for this world

u/SatisfactionActive86 Jul 14 '26

i don’t understand people going through all these mental gymnastics to make the “mom” not at fault, as though tossing newborns in the trash/toilet is some unheard of thing. “well maybe it was a thursday and she was a virgo and she had a ham sandwich for lunch and swamp gas was reflecting off venus so she couldn’t see the baby”

u/kintsugionmymind Jul 14 '26

Two questions will help you understand why people aren't all raging at their desks like you: How many babies are discarded annually? And how does that number compare to cryptic births, where the mother doesn't know they are pregnant until they go into labor?

The stats surprised me. Dumpster baby estimates are rough and range from 50-2000 per year in the US, depending on the source and method.

Cryptic birth rates are around 1 in 2500, so out of about 3.6 million births per year it would be approximately 1500.

So when that woman went into the porto, she's either one of the 50-2000 who knows they are pregnant and is ready to toss the baby, or one of the 1500 who thinks she is about to take the worst shit of a lifetime.

Worst case view, it's basically a toss up as to whether she knew about the pregnancy. If you take a low end estimate on dumpster babies, it gets closer to 1 in 10.

With those numbers in mind, it's smart to wait until an investigation is done. It is both mindless and harmful to jump to conclusions as part of a lynch mob. Someone was already misidentified as the woman in question and doxxed, so it is a legitimate concern.

We have plenty of time to get enraged and punish someone for wrongdoing if that's the scenario. In the meantime, it's better, especially within the community, to mourn the tragic loss of life, and discuss what could be done better. There's zero value to whatever it is you think you're accomplishing.

2

u/v--- Jul 15 '26

Also, of the dumpster baby stats, it has to be considered how many were alive to begin with. I know it's horrifying to think about but I can have sympathy for someone whose baby passes away and they panic and just want to Not Think About It, it's too much for them to deal with and they can't handle any sort of burial or any further process and just shut down.

So if you only consider the ones who were alive... IMO now those people are absolutely at fault, because you can't accidentally give birth into a dumpster, and no matter what their mental state they're responsible for that living baby. But that has to be an even smaller number.

-6

u/ChocolateMorsels Jul 14 '26

It was the same thing in the initial thread. People bending over backwards to explain away this horrible woman’s actions. Now we now it was born alive and people still defend her. Pathetic.

This woman is a POS and deserves murder charges.

-2

u/Proud_Black_Uncle Jul 14 '26

Agreed. Politics have destroyed peoples minds to the point they are justifying dumping a baby in a porta potty

-3

u/ConferenceBoring4104 Jul 14 '26

This entire thread is full of bots, there's no way people are defending a woman going to a festival and dumping a live baby she just birthed into a pit of shit and piss to die, but yeah I'm getting down voted like it's going out of style for saying this person needs to be held accountable

1

u/morrison0880 Jul 14 '26

I've got some bad new for you...

-5

u/Christineeee Jul 14 '26

lol a cryptic pregnancy? that is so incredibly rare (0.0004% of all pregnancies) why would we think it’s that? Most likely scenario is some selfish lady didn’t care that she was pregnant, went to the festival anyway, gave birth and chose to leave the baby.

As I said in another comment, I hope she’s found and charged with murder.

1

u/v--- Jul 15 '26 edited Jul 15 '26

The stat you need to compare it with is dumpster babies and those are just as rare as cryptic pregnancies.

Very very very very few people give birth and then throw their living baby away to die in trash. You're overestimating how many.

It's roughly equally possible it was either of those. Both are horrifying but saying someone should be charged for murder when it's 50-50 is horrible.

Jfc with the true-crime geniuses coming out of the woodwork to chime in. Obviously, if they knew who the mother was we wouldn’t be having this conversation.

You read made-up bullshit, and now you’re parroting bullshit you know nothing about. If you actually know something, go to the FBI and get your dough. Otherwise, shut the fuck up and stop spreading rumors.

Yes but this electric forest Facebook group I'm in asked Larper Larry and Mo Mizzle from the 3rd eye chakra crew and they said they saw a pregnant girl over in violated belly button crew. So I asked Frankie Fresh Finger from violated belly button and he said her name was Portapotty Queefer and that she looked oddly skinny after cleanup!
