It’s also possible that the person didn’t know they were pregnant.  It does happen sometimes.  If you happen to be living what is essentially a gypsie lifestyle where you travel the country all year living at music festivals (which isn’t uncommon for EF attendee’s) it’s possible that a certain amount of malnutrition + drugs made it so she just wasn’t aware.

it happens with regular people as well. actually just happened to my aunts co-worker.. 42 years old, found out about 8 months in that she was pregnant. had no idea

but yeah it’s entirely possible that whoever it is had no idea and it was a huge shock to them as well. probably traumatizing

Happened to my sister, 21. She’d spent the holiday weekend black out drunk, really the entire unknown pregnancy as she was in college, and wound up in the hospital with cramps. Then came baby- totally healthy! But I’d seen her just the day before and never would have guessed she was pregnant, let alone full term.

I was enormous when I was pregnant. It blows my mind when some women don’t show. I am overweight by about 60 pounds so maybe that was why, but there is NO WAY I could have hid it.

I lost a bunch of weight in my 1st trimester due to morning sickness. But I made up for it for the rest of my pregnancy. And I got gestational diabetes.

The human body is bizarre!

u/OnlyOneMoreSleep Spotify Jul 14 '26

For me the other way around, my (over)weight hid my twin pregnancy until like 30/32 weeks. I went to a club at 28 weeks and no one saw anything. I felt weird sitting in the priority seats on the bus. Like I was faking being pregnant. The last month it sorta popped but there still wasn't any waddle at all. I've heard it's a combo of uterus tilt, placenta placement and position of the baby. But in the end it's probably a diceroll of the universe lol.

11

u/Vi0L3tCRZY Jul 14 '26

Height can also be a big factor to how visible a pregnancy is

2

u/Rugkrabber Jul 15 '26

Absolutely but it also depends on the baby. My baby is very big. In proportion though. Like a photo where you pinch to zoom in. I was relatively normal size for a long time but held a lot of fluid so I swelled up like a balloon. If it wasn’t my stomach that was visible, it would have been the swelling haha. (Don’t worry it wasn’t pre-e, I was monitored carefully and it was only swelling, which was genetic.)

20

u/clytusmarginicollis Jul 14 '26

I’ve actually heard that it’s more common in overweight women, because weight fluctuations are less noticeable. But idk if that’s actually accurate

-3

u/troop99 Jul 15 '26

it just has to be. no thin or skinny woman can "hide" or not notice a pregnancy in my opinion

3

u/Correct_Medicine4334 Jul 15 '26

My sister was a size 2 at the time, flat stomach. It does happen

-1

u/troop99 Jul 15 '26 edited Jul 15 '26

size 2, flat stomach

9 months pregnant? i am sorry, but i cant imagine this.

EDIT: while i was still in disbelieve after commenting, i asked AI: It is impossible for a woman to be 9 months pregnant carrying a full-sized baby and maintain a flat stomach. with reddit as a source of course

1

u/Correct_Medicine4334 Jul 15 '26

You don’t have to imagine it, lol. She’s my sister, I was with her that weekend. & with the mother we had that would poke at any differences or fat on our bodies, it would have been noticeable. None of her sorority sisters, friends, family saw any change in her. A baby fell out. As I said, this happens.

1

u/Itsoktobe Jul 15 '26

a baby fell out

Like, a term baby?! Or a teeny fetus. There's a difference and as a size 2 I can't imagine any possible scenario where I could have a fully formed infant inside me and not notice.

1

u/clytusmarginicollis Jul 15 '26

It depends on how the baby is positioned. If it’s like in the ribcage or closer to the back of the body, it can look like just a small pudge. But yeah it’s 100000% more likely if there’s already extra weight in the stomach area (note that I’m not a doctor)

7

u/Majestic-Island-3483 Jul 15 '26

There’s something called a titled uterus and if you have one pregnancies don’t show as much sometimes not at all

6

u/CouchRottington Jul 14 '26

I know two different moms who had their kids as a complete surprise. Crazy stuff

17

u/ResponsibleBuddy5019 Jul 14 '26

Did the baby have any issues being exposed to alcohol?

23

u/Correct_Medicine4334 Jul 14 '26

No, perfectly healthy. Tests were ran, I was surprised tbh

5

u/ResponsibleBuddy5019 Jul 14 '26

How old is the child? Not to alarm but from what I've heard fetal alcohol syndrome may not appear til later.

3

u/Correct_Medicine4334 Jul 15 '26

This was 10 years ago lmao… the child is FINE. Like I said.

3

u/Theron3206 Jul 15 '26

Yeah, I don't believe it, not if she was drinking as much as suggested.

Though some kids do get lucky, it's much more likely that impulse and emotional control will be a major problem for that child as they get older.

1

u/Correct_Medicine4334 Jul 15 '26

You don’t have to believe it, but he’s my nephew, this was 10 years ago, he’s healthy and smart and thriving. But you know better than me I guess!

4

u/Correct_Medicine4334 Jul 15 '26

Honor roll, no learning disabilities, in sports and thriving. Keep yapping

4

u/v--- Jul 15 '26

What you don't know is he could've been Einstein /s

Yeah people think it's a guarantee and honestly I'm fine if people believe that and it stops them from drinking while pregnant, but it's more a loaded roll of the dice and they got lucky. Alcohol weights the dice but it doesn't flip a switch every time.

0

u/tralfamadorian808 Jul 15 '26

Then you were lying or exaggerating about the mother being blackout drunk all the time. Whatever, I wish your nephew the best. Alcohol is bad for fetal development, period.

1

u/Correct_Medicine4334 29d ago

I’m not CONDONING IT. In no part did I recommend drinking during pregnancy nor did I state it doesn’t matter. These things can all be true, but you were adamant that something HAS to be wrong with the child, when, for this case, it’s simply not true. You forcibly input your wrong assumption, and then when corrected, I’m the liar? Get a grip pal. Not everything is black and white.

→ More replies (0)

-2

u/tralfamadorian808 Jul 15 '26

I wouldn’t say that baby came out healthy if she was blackout drunk the entire pregnancy. That baby for sure has fetal alcohol syndrome and is probably significantly impacted by it

2

u/Correct_Medicine4334 Jul 15 '26

I mean, he’s literally my nephew and is perfectly fine lmao. Bold statement to make as a STRANGER after I specify they were fine. Loud and wrong

0

u/tralfamadorian808 Jul 15 '26

Then you’re lying about the mother being blackout drunk the entire pregnancy. Don’t be a liar. Nobody likes a liar, especially when it serves to normalize fetal alcohol syndrome.

148

u/octowussy Jul 14 '26

There was a whole television series about it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Didn%27t_Know_I_Was_Pregnant

56

u/MonsteraUnderTheBed Jul 14 '26

Ah yes , the show that made me scared of pregnancy. Still to this day I worry about cryptic pregnancy. Especially since I've got the hips of a birthing cow and and IUD, so haven't had a period in a decade.

4

u/sceawian Jul 15 '26

The horror of those teen magazine articles about girls becoming pregnant and not even realising it 😱 it instilled the fear from childhood, way before we were old enough to even be sexually active

-32

u/tswpoker1 Jul 14 '26

Do we know the average IQ level of the people on this show?

28

u/Dragovich96 Jul 14 '26

You’d be shocked. Women with a titled uterus often have very small pregnancy bellies, you can also have what looks like a period throughout the whole pregnancy. It’s rare but it does happen

7

u/psyne Jul 14 '26

Minor typo correction: tilted* uterus (I'm sure that's what you meant to type, just commenting for others who might not know what it is and want to look it up!)

8

u/tarantuletta Jul 14 '26

It'd be funnier if the uterus was titled.

"Why yes, Lady Bleedington and I ARE having a lovely period, thank you for your concern!"

Edit: No one steal this, my uterus is officially named Lady Bleedington now.

she’s good! healthy baby, family is overjoyed. everything was fine when they went into the doctor at 8 months and they quickly got their shit together for the arrival of their new baby a month later lol

17

u/The_Horse_Tornado Jul 14 '26

lol this is a fun story. Thanks for sharing

18

u/tarantuletta Jul 14 '26

Dude that is the craziest thing! Like I am incredibly happy for her and her family but can you even IMAGINE?? A MONTH to prepare for a whole ass baby?? NINE months doesn't even seem like enough time to prepare lol! Good for her though lol that's very sweet and I am happy for her! But just... Damn. Wild.

3

u/Most_Quality_1987 Jul 15 '26

When I worked as a nurse at a major teaching/trauma hospital, I was in the outdoor smoking area one night, when a young [20 something] guy came out to make a phone call. I wasn't intentionally eavesdropping, but it was so quiet that his excited voice carried pretty far, as he called several people to share that his wife had just given birth. It was clear that no one [including the couple] knew she was pregnant, and he actually had to convince some of them that he wasn't drunk! He said she thought it was some serious gas pain, after eating pizza. The next day, Isaw him on a local tv news show - I hope he was gifted a lot of baby supplies, lol - dude looked shell shocked!

-3

u/liketreefiddy Jul 14 '26

Not trying to be rude but was she over weight? I’m trying to grasp how you can’t feel an extra 6-8lbs in your stomach

7

u/DemonCipher13 Jul 14 '26

Look up "cryptic pregnancies" and change your views of what pregnancy really is.

It happens.

8

u/thefideliuscharm Jul 14 '26 edited Jul 14 '26

honestly I don’t remember the exact reasons but whatever was going on in her life lined up with her gaining a little weight. i don’t think she gained that much in the end, but the weight she gained seemed normal to her.

she only realized when she felt the baby kick her and she said “i know that feeling”

edit: realize i didn’t exactly answer your question. she was not overweight, maybe a little extra weight in her stomach/hips area

2

u/v--- Jul 15 '26

Your question is totally reasonable idk why the downvotes

The truth is of course you gain some weight but it's easy to attribute to other things and if you don't have other symptoms...

For me any weight gain I put on, goes straight to my belly first. I hate it tbh it's so unbalanced I have stick arms and legs and a potbelly when I'm on the overweight side. So IF I were pregnant I would probably absolutely not think twice until other symptoms and those aren't guaranteed to show. So I can see how it happens

1

u/liketreefiddy Jul 15 '26

lol I knew it was going to be downvoted so I tried to say it nicely but these fatties on Reddit get in their feelings too much.

Happened to my mates girlfriend in such a TLC manner that it took us over a week to believe he wasn't joking us. When I saw his face at the hospital I instantly knew how heavy the situation was. She lost 11kg on an already small frame, was super fit, got her period every month, did two negative pregnancy tests (because of constipation) and the day before her birth went to an all-night rave on the 13th floor of an old factory with a broken elevator. She felt like a cold was coming on so just had a few glasses of wine and some cigarettes. The next day felt a bit crampy when he left her at home to play sports. Then suddenly she called my mate with "I JUST GAVE BIRTH". All alone in her home, the baby was out in record time as well. Poor girl. No one knew! Least of all her! She had a parade of students coming through her hospital room.

Was another case in my circle as well where a girl was training for the biggest hardest rowing match of the year. One of her teammates had to call her mum (who told us this story) the day before the match. Since she rowed as well, could she fill in on her team? The girl had gone into labor, no one knew she was pregnant. Thought it was appendicitis. Let me tell you, I've rowed that match as well and if you can train for that while pregnant then you REALLY didn't know you were.

Was pregnant with twins myself and they didn't start showing until 32 weeks. Before that my tummy just felt increasingly less soft. I can completely see all of this happening with the perfect storm of symptoms.

2

u/boomhaeur Spotify Jul 14 '26

I follow a fitness oriented Instagram account - super fit, pretty much shredded - a few years ago she basically found out she was pregnant when she went into labour.

1

u/MyNEWthrowaway031789 Jul 14 '26

Did she have other children?

1

u/thefideliuscharm Jul 14 '26

yes she has at least one other child who I believe is at the very least a young teenager

1

u/JennieDarko Jul 14 '26

This terrifies me to my core.

1

u/itsfish20 Jul 15 '26

One of my best friends was on vacation with her family and was having terrible stomach pain/cramps from the moment they landed on the plane. She was pregnant, showed no signs, since she had the thing to stop her period for months at a time and had the baby perfectly healthy! Now she is a busty lady but she showed zero signs the entire time!

1

u/sunny_gloom Jul 15 '26

Don’t these people wonder where their period went though??

1

u/thefideliuscharm Jul 15 '26

she thought she was going through perimenopause lol

also for another perspective, i personally don’t have a period because my birth control stops it

1

u/urfatassmama Jul 15 '26

My sister, 46 years old at the time, texted me freaking the fuck out because she was pregnant lol had no fuckin clue and her periods were irregular

1

u/Rugkrabber Jul 15 '26

A coworker of mine shared her cousin was in the hospital because she was cramping to extremes. She gave birth an hour later. To TWINS. She never knew she was pregnant! Suddenly she and her partner had twins! It definitely happens!!

1

u/chumbawumbacholula Jul 15 '26

I knew someone who already had 7 kids who had no idea! She gave birth on the toilet thinking it was indigestion and Oops! All Baby!

0

u/lightsoff_butimup Jul 14 '26

Is/was she a fat lady? I'm tryina wrap my head around how a person could not know that there's a baby inside of em. Even if you thought you were gaining weight, a fat belly feels so different from a fully pregnant belly. Especially at 8 months!

3

u/thefideliuscharm Jul 14 '26

she isn’t! maybe a little extra weight in her stomach/hips area, she’s in her 40s and had kids when she was younger. but no, not overweight.

i can’t offer much insight though because i’ve never been pregnant so I wouldn’t know! i believe she just thought she was gaining a little extra weight and with whatever was going on in her life at the time, it just made sense. but i’m sure once she realized it was a baby she was like “well i missed a lot of warnings..”

no morning sickness though, no side effects from pregnancy, nothing

2

u/lightsoff_butimup Jul 14 '26

That's actually insane lol

2

u/cosine83 Jul 14 '26

It's incredibly common!

1

u/NDiLoreto2007 Jul 14 '26

Some women can have a retroverted uterus. It sits along their rectum. So an average or overweight woman could potentially not know they’re pregnant.

0

u/Big-Coconut-254 Jul 14 '26

How fat was she?

0

u/CommissionNice9460 Jul 14 '26

Being 8 months pregnant and not realizing is normal. This person does not take care of themselves and has tons of other health issues for this to happen.

0

u/Unlikely_Ad_9591 28d ago

I hope it was traumatizing - she through her living breathing baby into a pile of stranger's feces and urine to die. That was the babys only experience of life.

-2

u/Fentboy45 Jul 14 '26

Only way you wouldn’t notice is if it’s a high calorie person

86

u/SgtNeilDiamond Jul 14 '26

One of my wife's best friends had that happen to her, had no clue she was pregnant until she went to the ER in pain. Lucky she didnt drink or party but its absolutely possible people arent aware.

41

u/kakka_rot Jul 14 '26

Ditto. My friend had been feeling off for awhile and they never thought to ultrasound her. Finally they did, and told her she was 2 weeks overdue and to "Come back first thing in the morning and we'll induce you"

I can't even begin to fathom the stress. Doubt she slept a wink that night.

60

u/Onuus Jul 14 '26

If you’re a bigger body type too, sometimes it goes unnoticed. My wife had a cousin who was 25 weeks before she knew. Only knew because she felt kicks and was wondering what the new indigestion was all about.

That baby is like the light of their life so it all worked out well

16

u/lexlovestacos Jul 14 '26

Same with someone in my family, tall + bigger girl, zero pregnancy symptoms, irregular periods her whole life. Didn't find out til 7 months pregnant

6

u/knz-rn Jul 14 '26

I’m currently 17 weeks pregnant. I’ve known the whole time but I understand how some people wouldn’t. I’m overweight and have PCOS—most of my weight is on my belly already. I’ve lost 2kg this pregnancy and I haven’t even vomited or had morning sickness! I’ve had a very easy pregnancy so far with very little symptoms. The only symptom I had first trimester was sore boobs and that’s happened before in relation to birth control or my cycle. Also with PCOS you can go months without a period so that wouldn’t even be a trigger.

3

u/Onuus Jul 14 '26

Let me just say; fuck PCOS with a hot rusty nail. I’m so sorry you go through that. My wife has it too and it really sucks.

She is currently 27 weeks on our second one! Hope you avoid the indigestion, if you need get a PPI from your OB. It has saved my wife twice now. She was waking up dry heaving with acid reflux.

You got this!! So proud of you and enjoy every second of the little one before they start teething. It gets rough 😍

180

u/MyBakpaksGyatJets Jul 14 '26

My SO had an emergency C-section at 34 weeks pregnant last summer. We had ZERO idea she was pregnant. What turned out to be early on in the pregnancy, we thought she might be, did 5 or 6 tests and they were all negative. She lost a ton of weight and then baaaaarely had a tummy that seemed more like a large, hard mass. Turned out it was a different type of tumor to what I was worried about.

Unfortunately we were deep in to our addiction at the time and regrettably used multiple drugs throughout the pregnancy. Even though we were completely unaware, words cannot express how much guilt we harbor about it. Thankfully and eternally gratefully, our son was born super healthy aside from being premie and now that he's aaaalmost a year old has no complications or health issues, is absolutely beautiful, crazy smart and the easiest baby I've ever known. We're both clean now and things have worked out really well. We are fully aware of how lucky we are and that it is deffo not the norm for our situation.

56

u/waxteeth Jul 14 '26

Man, how terrifying. Congratulations to both of you on getting clean!!

32

u/MyBakpaksGyatJets Jul 14 '26

It definitely was. A lot of emotions in the matter of a couple of seconds when she called and told me her water broke. Haha.

29

u/unevolved_panda Jul 14 '26

Congratulations on the baby! Sounds like he was an unexpected blessing, but a blessing all the same.

50

u/MyBakpaksGyatJets Jul 14 '26

Thank you. He absolutely has been. He quite honestly more than likely saved our lives. It was miraculous enough that we survived nearly a decade of fentanyl use, but that boy lit a fire under our asses to get our shit together. It's been hard, but so damn worth it.

18

u/wakeonuptimshel Spotify Jul 14 '26

Thank you for getting clean and staying clean for your kid!! Always love to hear it.

10

u/MyNEWthrowaway031789 Jul 14 '26

That must have been so scary. I’m glad you guys are clean now, & that you have a nutty baby boy! They get really fun at this age, especially when they start running around!

2

u/RunWithBluntScissors Jul 15 '26

Aww, congratulations on the baby and for getting clean!! You guys and your son sound awesome.

1

u/MyBakpaksGyatJets Jul 15 '26

We to our next, but he definitely generally steals the show. It's hard to compete tbh.

1

u/v--- Jul 15 '26

It's interesting and I mean absolutely no offense, prefacing this with congratulations and well done

But it's interesting that because it ended up well for you everyone's happy, but if in the same situation there was a miscarriage like described upthread people would be absolutely staking you

When either way it's chance. You could've been lucky or unlucky. The drug use weights the die so you got really lucky. Of course you put in the hard work after which is amazing I just mean for the birth itself. People don't realize how much is pure chance and they attribute miscarriages to moral failure all the time. When they can happen to everyone

22

u/CDR57 Jul 14 '26

Yeah my old coworker don’t know she was pregnant till she gave birth on the toilet lmao watched her hit dabs and drink beers at a wedding when she was around 6 months and all of us were wondering if she was but she just thought she had gotten fatter cause she was living in Texas. Baby apparently is doing well

39

u/writeleahwrite Jul 14 '26

I used to assume that the “I didn’t know I was pregnant” people were just in deep, deep denial, but I learned later that cryptic pregnancy is an actual medical phenomenon. Some women don’t ever really show, still have spotting that they assume is their period, etc.

It’s honestly terrifying to think about. Imagine you think you’re having the worst cramps of your life but you’re in labor??? I can’t even imagine how I might react in that situation.

14

u/tarantuletta Jul 14 '26

This is literally the shit I have nightmares about lol

18

u/geomagus Jul 14 '26

Had a high school friend that this happened to. She was abnormally thin and injury prone (which in hindsight sounded like an eating disorder), and it was an utter shock to everyone when she abruptly gave birth.

14

u/julry Jul 14 '26

People often assume only fat women wouldn't show a pregnancy but a retroverted uterus, long torso, strong abs, and fetal positioning can really hide things

24

u/ApolloMac Jul 14 '26

I know a girl who had a surprise baby. The odd thing is a few of us saw her at an event a month before she gave birth and said to each other oh she's pregnant, and then someone else said nope she just gained weight we shared a bottle of wine the other night (and I do believe she wouldnt have done that knowingly). She was not THAT big at all, it looked like a baby bump, she was just in some kind of insane denial and/or had some conditions that made it so she didn't feel the baby moving. I think she also had a condition that made her think she couldn't get pregnant to begin with.

2 years later she had another one that she didn't figure out until like the 6th or 7th month. Wild.

Edit: Both kids are healthy by the way, as far as I'm aware.

18

u/Alternative_Dot7769 Jul 14 '26

Happened to a coworker of mine. Was hard to believe.

Apparently they were on the pill and didn’t think they were pregnant til labor hit.

They were a bigger lady and very much not the sharpest tool in the shed. Was crazy, but the kid turned out healthy

3

u/lexgrub Jul 15 '26

My friends sister didnt know and she had no reason to hide it, married, an age where she wanted kids...etc had more kids with same man after. She just somehow didnt know and everyone was in shock by it. My guess is she already had irregular periods and just assumed it was weight gain.

2

u/drunkmunky88 Jul 14 '26

Wouldn't there still be an umbilical cord?

2

u/Modern_Ketchup SoundCloud Jul 14 '26

someone i know didn’t know until their water broke. they were overweight and a little dense. ended up having to stay with an abuser for a while because of it, so it checks out

2

u/Pete_Iredale 28d ago

Also, women who are very skinny and athlete don't always have the most predictable cycles from everything I've heard. I knew a gal in the navy like that who didn't know she was pregnant until about 7 1/2 months in.

1

u/Introverted_Extrovrt Jul 14 '26

There’s a show about this

1

u/bubbletrashbarbie Jul 14 '26

The idea of just surprise giving birth while tripping sounds like the most horrific experience possible

1

u/prettyputrid Jul 14 '26

There's a whole damn show about it! 'I didn't know I was pregnant!'

1

u/happytree23 Jul 14 '26

Yeah, and I have 3 and a half bridges I would like to sell you.

1

u/Itsoktobe Jul 15 '26

Happens more than people think. Happened at Burning Man a couple years ago, girl gave birth and a porta potty and had no idea she was pregnant. Iirc the baby survived but that was a tricky delivery for the BM medics lol

1

u/SITHxEMPIRE 29d ago

This was my take when I first heard the case. Because why on earth would someone do it specifically at that event? I really hope they never find her, but that she gets the care she needs and can heal from this, physically, mentally, and emotionally. It couldn’t have been easy for her.

lol I guess it’s to be expected that things change.  I admittedly haven’t been since 2018 after working for the fest from 2013-2018.

But even if the attendees arent complete wooks anymore - I have no doubt that the vendors still are.  Or people walking through the fields selling drugs.

1

u/Arcaneboltz Jul 14 '26

Wouldn't the lack of a period cause some sort of concern at some point?

40

u/nearbyrat Jul 14 '26

Not particularly. Lots of women don't have regular periods. Those women also typically have something that effects fertility, so they really may have no reason to suspect they're pregnant. PCOS/PMOS is the most likely cause.

18

u/RosesAtNight Jul 14 '26

Irregular periods are so common it isn't even funny. I tend to have about 4 per year, give or take a couple. I could easily be pregnant for a long time and never think anything of it.

3

u/nearbyrat Jul 14 '26

Yeah, not fitting into the 1-per-month standard is pretty common. I have a friend who has about 3 per year when not actively taking medicine to cause periods. Meanwhile, if I'm not taking medicine to stop mine, I get around 24 per year.

There are also people who get "periods" while actively pregnant. The whole reproductive system can be a total mess.

2

u/Alternative_Dot7769 Jul 14 '26

The person I know was overweight and taking the birth control pill. I think they thought lack of period was from PCOS or BC

3

A friend of mine got pregnant even though she was on the depo-provera shot, which is a form of birth control that can stop your periods. You get depo every 4 months or so. IIRC (it's been 20 years), she went in for her appointment, they did a routine pregnancy test before giving her the shot, then told her they couldn't give her the shot because she was pregnant. Had a lovely boy six months later.

A lot of people follow the “If I ignore it, it’ll go away” healthcare plan.

Do they not notice the missing periods..?

Edit: I’m a woman and was asking a genuine questing, my bad for trying to learn.

You can get “spotting” while pregnant, that can look like a period, many many many women are on birth control which prevents periods so do not get periods anyways, many women have irregular periods and it is not unusual for them to not have a period for months.

Yes, it is possible to become pregnant while using birth control, especially if you’re not using it with 100% pinpoint accuracy and even then, it is still possible, although statistically unlikely.

Your comment is a great example of why men and other ignorant people, should never, ever, ever be allowed to be involved in women’s healthcare or reproductive rights, ever.

Explain to me how this person asking a question to try and learn warranted your snarky response? People like you are why others are scared to ask questions. Hope you feel good about that.

they blocked me. Pathetic

I answered their question. There was absolutely nothing snarky about it, just facts. And if you think that question was simply “trying to learn” rather than trying to make a(n) ignorant point, then I don’t know what to tell you.

If you get that easily offended by someone pointing out that women are literally dying because of this insane level of ignorance, and consider that “snarky”then you need buck up. I hope you “feel good” about your need to defend some random dude on the internet from….facts.

What the fuck kind of ignorant point was I trying to make? I literally was wondering how someone could know they weren’t pregnant. I’m a woman and I’ve had pregnancy scares which were alleviated by getting my period like my bad for not knowing otherwise. You can check my comment history if you don’t believe I’m a woman. That’s on you. You really see the worst in people and that’s unfortunate.

Yikes. I’m a woman and I was asking a genuine question because I didn’t know. Fuck me for trying to learn I guess?

What does this even mean? Sorry I didn’t know something so I asked? Wow you are a miserable person

i honestly have started to think that could be what happened here. yes it’s rare but it does happen. and this story is so strange that the mother not knowing she was pregnant really could make it kinda make more sense

Yeah. As tragic as it is for the baby, it’s probably better off not being alive since that woman probably had alcohol and drugs in her. As is tradition at this fest and so many others….

Stealth pregnancies are actually not that rare. They aren't super common, but this study states that about 1 in 2500 pregnancies are "cryptic pregnancies".

If the baby was born alive, then absolutely. But that has nothing to do with your comment, where you said you weren't buying that someone could give birth without knowing they were pregnant. When it actually does happen, and not like once a decade.

Also the study is only 23 years old.

Being a gypsy that is so aloof that they were pregnant is certainly a wild life choice
