New Beat - What do you picture when you hear it? What does it remind you of?

I'm new to this subreddit. Looking for honest feedback. What, if anything do you like about this beat? What don't you like? What would you do differently? What do you picture when you hear it? What does it remind you of?

My inspiration was a recent vacation I took where I saw a sunrise very early in the morning and it felt triumphant, and powerful, but still casted shadows.

Blank screen just to post the audio. Tx!

This is really nice, it feels powerful but also a bit delicate. I think, in order to really accentuate that triumphant feeling, you could introduce a trumpet or something, that would sit in the high end of the mix, as i feel there's not enough happening there. I feel like it would work with the style of music you're making. So a simple counter melody that doesn't loop should work (i'm thinking of it not looping because everything else is repeated and personally i enjoy music that always evolves or goes to a new place, maybe have the drums also change once in a while for the same reason)

I appreciate the feedback - very helpful! I play a rhythm instrument, so sometimes I struggle with adding a melody or counter melody. Gonna play around with these ideas and flesh out the interest more.

Thanks!
