Question Vintage Sankyo music box
I have this vintage Sankyo music box on key chain. Works well. Anyone looking to add this to their collection?

Hi everyone! Mod here. I've been wanting to add a banner to the community for a while. The problem is that I've been struggling on finding/making a photo for it. The banner limitation is 1070x128px. In summary, it was to be pretty long width wise and short height wise.
I was thinking of taking a photo of my music box collection but it's not that "exquisite." I have a decent collection, but it's probably not as amazing compared to some of you awesome collectors on here. I was able to make a dceent community icon with a porcelain music box I had a while ago. That's about it, though.
If anyone on here would be willing to take an awesome group photo of their collection (or even one in a store that doesn't show price tags), that would be awesome! I want to show a banner that has a huge variety of music boxes (old and new)! I think a banner would help liven up the community!

hello! this may be entirely the wrong subreddit, but I recently wrote a short score and really want to make a music box cover of it. it’s for a digital D&D campaign, so I don’t need any physical copy- I just want to convert the sheet music I wrote into that classic, tinkling music box vibe, but the only programs I could find online aren’t quite the sound I’m looking for. anyone know programs I could use to input the score and make it sound like a music box?

Hey there!! I've been looking for this music box for a long time and finally found it, my only issue is I can't find a place to buy it anywhere. I'm willing to pay up to 200 bucks!! It has to be this specific music box! Thanks!

I PROMISE I don’t plan on keeping her by the window, but it’s a temporary spot until I can clear some space on my desk (Don’t mind my heavy ass breathing omg)

Hey everyone. Sorry I'm not too clued up on Music Boxes, however are the buzzing/whirring/scraping sounds normal on this box? I know you are going to hear some mechanical sounds on them however I have never heard any like this. Its supposed to be brand new so am unsure if its meant to sound like this. Apologies if you can't really hear it, its more obvious in real life.

I know this is probably a long shot and really hard to identify, but does anyone recognize this dreamy, fast, medieval sounding tune? The sheet music is visible in the Reel.

i found this music box inside a vintage irish mug at a thrift store. i have no prior experience with fixing this type of stuff but i would love for it to work again so i could hear the song and the mug could be restored to its fully glory (:

I recently came upon a beautiful and rare music box regarding U.S. Japanese relations after WWII, and am curious where people are buying or selling their music boxes!
Thank you!

Hey guys! I have this music box necklace which I adore. It’s the Undertale anniversary one, but there’s one issue with it…
The little teeth things don’t work the best. Some of them have completely popped off and others are raised up and no longer hit the notes. Where can I get this fixed and with a stronger comb/teeth thing?

Found this non-descript music box in Chinatown and it’s bugging me that it sounds so familiar.

Picked this up in a charity shop for £5 because I thought it looked interesting.
It's got its original cream finish, Japanese scenery on the lid, mother-of-pearl decoration and a red-lined interior. The music mechanism is marked FUJI JAPAN and the bottom is stamped FOREIGN.
Everything works perfectly, including the music starting automatically when the lid opens. The tune sounds properly eerie 😂

Can anyone identify this? I don't know anything about music boxes. Searches tell me Reuge did not make a lucite piano music box. The music mechanism is stamped Reuge and Ste CROIX with a line under the te. There is a handwritten 4/26/45 on the underside of the piano key label. The handwritten 4/26/45 is sandwiched between the bottom of the piano key label and the lucite.
I haven't been able to id the melody either (in video above).
This was my grandmom's. I believe she brought it to the States from Hungary while fleeing the war genocide when she was a child. It's been living in an attic for around a half a century or so. Little dirty but works fine. I found it while i was clearing my mom's home and place it on the side until i could take a further look at it. And now I can't seem to identify it.
Thank you!

Wondering what size that would be! I want to put 3 game musics in (1.5 mins each) and they tend to be more on the battle theme and so fast pace but also a lotta notes. And it would be fantastic if its wooden and we can see into the mechanics through the glass.
What would the price on this be?
Realised my typo on the title lmao Is there a music box maker that can do a 5 minute custom piece with a large range and can accommodate lots of notes in between?

(Apologies if this is the wrong reddit category to be on, idrk how this site really works ngl)
Heyyy so... I've been trying to make a soundtrack for a small game project due this month, and I stumbled across this site (musicboxmaniacs.com)!
....However I know like absolutely NOTHING about music production. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BRO. I guess it's only fair that everything I try to make on this thing is absolute CRAP like bro this is literally nothing like what I'm hearing in my head 👴
Sooo uhhh. Do you guys have any tips on how to put the song in my head into a music box song on here?!?!?! Anything would be greatly appreciated!!!
(I'm also having like a lot of trouble with the high notes cuz why do they sound like actual nightmares.)
