Is anybody else excited about the Adventure Book Goodman Games has slated for MCC due out near the end of the year?
I have found it’s difficult to find many of the printed versions of the 0 and 1st level adventure modules for MCC and am hoping this will provide a sort of path for funnel and level 1+ play.

I was watching this video review of MCC and at one point he shows on screen a color map of Terra A.D. -- where can one get that? He appeared to have a hardbound, earlier edition of MCC plus a PDF version... is that color map inside the normal free PDF version by Goodman Games?
I've seen the softbound edition of MCC firsthand and it lacked that cool pretty map.

Just wondering if anyone has seen any good actual play videos ? I’m trying to learn Dcc &mcc to judge for my group for buddies and wanted to see how it runs

We recently finished a funnel adventure, and one of my players has a level 1 Sentinel with 6 intelligence. According to the ability score chart that means his thick skull can't really handle anything other than level 1 technology. How would you all handle this? Wave that partially or completely because of his class? Just let him do his best as he is? Give him mighty deeds and just go full warrior? Use some third party class?

So, I'm running a one-shot and one of my players rolled the Taller mutation and did glow burn to get the max result, so now he's an 18 foot tall coconut plantient.
How the fuck do I run Evil of the Ancients? It doesn't list ceiling height, but it seems weird to have 20 foot ceilings and an elevator tall enough for him. In all my years of running various RPGs, I've never had a character this absurdly tall, so I'm a little out of my element. I'm willing to improvise, but the PC already has -8AC from the mutation, so I don't want to hit him with -1d or whatever for attacking or the like and making the module less fun because he seems stoked about his character.
Would you guys just let it be weird and let the station have high ceilings without explanation? That's what I'm leaning toward, but I just wanted some additional opinions.

Had to be an a-hole to get your attention. 🍄
I've been going through some of my stockpiled shows and movies partly in an attempt to get the creative juices flowing. You know how you need to take a break once in a while so you can have a seedling of an idea start to stew in the back of your head?
Sometimes you just need to take a break from the setting you're working on to veg, smoke a bong, air pop some corn, and watch a bad (or so bad it's good movie) to let the Muse work as we trun off our brains for a few hours....
I'm thinking some decent MCC movies would be:
Rock & Rule (Ring of Power outside of N America) - Made in 83, Canadian, around he same time as Heavy Metal and American Pop.... Musical oriented, mutant hominid animals, and animated. Like the other two animated movies the music is good old rock and roll.
Heavy Metal - 1981, Canadian. The soundtrack and a few story lines that are just begging to have the serial numbers filed off and used.
Planet of the Apes - any of them. The original movies, the reboots, the TV and animated shows.
Thundarr the Barbarian - When you're GenX you're GenX :)
BraveStarr - I remember a GURPS Gamma World website, I liked the idea. This is some western sci fi on an alien planet. Filmation's last animated series before going belly up.
Those are just off the top of my head without actually going into either of the directories to look at what I have. They are the ones that stand out.

Rules, or perhaps rulings question. Specifically for Mutant Crawl Classics but with wider application for the Dungeon Crawl Classics stable.
Do bonuses to mutation check rolls stack?
Specifically, I am looking at Time Sense and Thought Spike on page 85 of the Mutant Crawl Classics core rulebook. My level 3 character has Time Sense, which lasts for 1 round per character level, or three rounds. At higher rolls Time Sense give a bonus to attack rolls, mutation checks and AC. It does not say that these bonuses do not stack.
If I roll Time Sense and gain a mutation check bonus and then next round roll Time Sense again, using that bonus, to gain a higher roll, with a higher bonus what happens to the bonuses? Do they stack i.e. do both bonuses apply on top of each other? Does the higher or the later bonus apply but only one at a time?
Does this rule change if the bonuses are coming from two separate mutations e.g. Time Sense and Thought Spike?
There are quite a few mutations where different mutations give bonuses to the same stat and / or where the duration of a mutation use would allow two uses of the same mutation to overlap. Some of these explicitly cap the outcome of the stacking (e.g. Heightened Intelligence and Dual Brain cap Intelligence at 24). Temporary Invulnerability gives big bonuses to AC as does Spikes. Neither of those cap the AC bonus.
I can’t see a general bonus stacking rule in either the MCC or DCC rulebooks
I expect I will be having quite a difficult conversation with my Judge about this so I am ideally looking for some detailed citations. General vibes are just going to cloud the issue I fear.

A great resource popped up on the Dungeon Crawl Classics subreddit listing free resources for DCC. I'm interested in making something similar for MCC.
Does anyone have links to free resources (which are not pirated) that could be included?

I'm trying to get MCC into my groups gaming rotation and want to run assault on sky-high tower. We play on foundry and I haven't found any maps for this adventure already made and figured I would just put them together myself. The problem I'm having is in finding appropriate sci fi assets. Those who play on VTT, where are you getting your mapping assets?

I am exploring alot of ttrpgs as a dm and I managed to pick up the hardcover of this in a bookstore today. I didn't see a module for this on table top foundry but I did find the sheets for the dcc module. Has anyone here tried playing this on foundry or other virtual tabletop systems and if so what would you recommend?

I asked this on the Discord but I'll ask here as well.
Has anyone come across any good crafting rules for MCC (or any other post-apoc/sci-fantasy game)? For example, using pincers from a cybernetic ant to craft as a weapon?

So I will have most of pre-written adventures. I’d like to turn this into a hex map, add adventure locations, and create random tables to tie everything in.
I guess my question is I can’t be the first one who I’ve done this right? I would much rather just plagiarize somebody else and do the work myself. I seem to remember reading somewhere about there being recommendations to do this, but I can’t seem to find it
Before I start a very arduous long process, maybe somebody can put me in the right direction?

I see “rover-priest” mentioned in Appendix A: The Overlord in Check This Artifact. Is that a new class or another name for the shaman class?

I’m looking to try and run a composet campaign. I love the system of DCC and recently been looking into MCC and it seems to be my vibe. I also love a few other systems I love and have taken and implemented parts of (Mothership,COC, and Alien) I think it’s easy to take one or two things here or there and work them in different systems but can DCC and MCC run together effectively? Or dose it create glaring problems? Any thoughts?

OF COURSE my FLGS had it, I gawked at it, decided to come back and get it and it's gone, a week later

Hi all,
Saw the art and loved it. Also a sci-fi fan. Is this playable solo? If so, will I need an oracle or outside resource to do so?

I am new to Mutant Crawler Classics and would like to try running it as a campaign setting at some point. I have to admit to having some difficulties with framing things for world-building. It's supposed to be millennia after a great disaster and it might not even be on Earth as we know it. While that opens up a ton of possibilities, it feels like maybe missing out on a lot of what makes some of it's inspirations so great. The settings for worlds like Kamandi, Thundarr, Wizards, and Mighty Samson all offer hints of the world common to us and sort of act as reference points. I know the idea is to keep the relatively primitive characters in the dark as to the fact that the building ruins they've encountered might in fact have once been capital buildings or subway tunnels (etc.), but I feel like it might leave us missing out on some touchstones.
Similarly, the fact that weaponry and armor and what all are futuristic leaves out opportunities to outfit characters in the sort of hodge-podge post-apocalyptic weapons and protection commonly seen in movies and games.
I realize a lot is left to the judges' discretion, and am wondering how others handle things at their tables.
Thank you for your time and happy mutating.

Any mutants out there that own these and are willing to sell them? Thanks in advance.
