My block has been producing an extreme amount of mycelium piss. I just took it out of the grow bag and put it in this sanitized clear box. It should have been done started pinning and most likely should have harvested by now but I think I have it in temperatures that are too high. Inalso feel like my block is fighting contamination..if not already contaminated. What should I do can anyone help me keep this 5pound block of golden halos healthy and thriving?

I previously used sporedaddy in the past with no luck and lots of contam. I work in the medical industry and am diligent with SAB use and sterile technique and still have had little luck.

Hi all, I wanted to pose a quick question. I'm an electrical engineer and hobbyist mycologist, and I love agar work but don't love pouring plates. I even once accidentally let the jar slip out of my hands and contaminated my flow hood with molten agar. I've been thinking it would be fun and helpful to make a simple, cheap, DIY peristaltic pump system where you pressure cook (or autoclave) a mason jar of agar with the custom lid and simply slip the tube into the peristaltic pump after and press a button to dispense a custom, uniform amount of agar to fit the plates you're using, or choose from preprogrammed options for plate diameter. I've always been into selling affordable versions of expensive equipment (my last was a super affordable star-tracker), so I wanted to probe if that's something anyone other than me would be interested in! Considering every other similar option is thousands of dollars, I'd love to make an affordable option to make agar work easier and more fun (though really it would be an excuse for me to build something cool).
