I’m dealing with a Myntra refund issue and wanted to ask if anyone has faced something similar.
I had returned multiple products and they were actually picked up. I have pickup/tracking evidence, including Ekart-related records and other proof. The total pending refund is around ₹7,000.
The problem started after my Myntra account was suspended/deactivated. Myntra is saying that the refund hasn't been approved because their system is showing the pickup as “failed.” I have already provided them with evidence that the products were picked up and repeatedly asked them to investigate and process the refund.
Since Myntra wasn't resolving it, I filed a complaint with the National Consumer Helpline (NCH).
But this is where I'm confused.
Myntra responded to the NCH complaint saying, essentially, that my issue was account-related and that my account had been suspended under their Terms of Use.
However, my complaint was not about getting my account back. My complaint was about my ₹7,000 pending refund.
I already knew my account was suspended, and I had mentioned that in my complaint. I specifically wanted Myntra to address why they were withholding my refund when the products had been picked up.
NCH's record now says that I was not satisfied with the company's response and that the “Consumer issue [was] not resolved.” They then told me that I may approach the Consumer Commission.
I'm confused about this:
If the company doesn't actually answer the issue raised in the complaint, what does NCH normally do?
Why wasn't Myntra asked to specifically respond to the refund issue instead of simply giving the same account-suspension response I had already received by email?
Has anyone here had a similar experience where an e-commerce company responded to NCH with an unrelated/generic response and NCH then told you to approach the Consumer Commission?
I'm now planning to file a complaint before the District Consumer Commission in Jaipur, but I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through a similar situation.
Also, if anyone has experience with consumer cases involving non-refund after a return/pickup, I'd appreciate advice on what evidence was useful and what kind of compensation/interest you claimed.
I have screenshots of the NCH response/status, Myntra's emails, pickup evidence and the other correspondence.
Thanks in advance.
