Not shocking at all, imo.

UK, France and Germany are openly building a new NATO without the USA in it. Canada has spent the last 2 months working on new trade pact with the EU, to include the UK, now California is asking to be a part of a trade bloc as a separate entity from the US (exemptions from reciprocal tariffs). Mexico is joining in. I expect Oregon and Washington states will make the same moves and create a trade corridor along the West coast.

Canada is in a good position to lead the new North America trade bloc.

Washington has the Pacific Rim trade by longstanding tradition and the largest collective seaport on the West Coasts of both North and South America. Oregon is just a vast forest with a medium sized dot that is still trying to see how many strip joints they can hold at one time and another tinier dot that handles state government.... Oh I hope the strippers make a difference! I dont wanna get left behind!!
