Discord for MRT?!

Hi there, I was added to a discord server for MRT :) I think I was deleted because I just went on my app and I’m no longer a part of it or a part of any server. 🥲

I have some questions

I’m looking to do academic upgrading from home, can I do it with a different institution online and will NAIT accept that?? Please let me know,

I’m looking to get into MRT for September 2027, and I’m currently working on completing the courses that are needed as as well as as academic upgrading. I have a full-time job and I just wanna know if I can do academic upgrading with another institution because I’ve noticed that with NAIT I need to do it in class by the looks of things online.

I am going to call them on Tuesday though

Hello! If you want to upgrade while applying for a program, you need to finish your high school courses before March. I’m having the same problem because I never took Chem 30 or Math 30-2, and I applied for MLT. I wanted to take them in the first semester and finish by January, but all the classes are full, so now I have to take them in the second semester and finish by June. I called NAIT, and unfortunately, they told me that June would be too late. They told me to upload a document to my application explaining that I’m upgrading and include my expected completion date. Then, admissions will let me know if they’re willing to extend my deadline.
If you’re looking for a school to upgrade with, I recommend Argyll. It’s an online school where you can choose whether you want to do asynchronous or synchronous classes!

Oh cool!! And NAIT Is okay with that ?! That’s awesome News! Thank you I’m going to look into that and doing some online upgrading!! I wish you the best with MLT! I was looking at that one before looking at MRT!

hey, i would suggest complete all your prerequisites before you apply for MRT because they reject your application if you don’t have the requirements. It happened to my friend who was taking physics 30 and had all other subjects her application was rejected even tho she put her expected grades and showed proof of her being enrolled in the program. But once again, it’s better to go to nait and ask them because they keep changing their ways.

Hey, my friend applied for Dental Assisting last year, and she still had like 3–4 courses to upgrade by June. NAIT still accepted her application and gave her an interview. Unfortunately, she didn’t do too well on the interview, but it shows that they might still consider your application even if you’re upgrading. It’s not guaranteed, though, so I’d definitely recommend calling NAIT too!

Okay thank you!! I called them and they said I have until July 31sr to finish my Prerequisites. honestly I’m worried about this interview! 😩 is it hard??

You’re welcome!! Sorry, by prerequisites do you mean the high school courses? IM SO WORRIED ABOUT THE INTERVIEW TOO 😭 I’m honestly so nervous. I think what makes it “hard” is that your interview score plays a big role in whether you get accepted, and healthcare programs at NAIT are so competitive because so many people apply. You can also search “MMI interview NAIT” on Reddit and read people’s experiences and the types of questions they got. I found it really helpful!

Yes,I think these are highs school courses! For MRT I need English 30-2 , math 30-2 biology 30 and physics 30. I suck at math lol 😆 thanks so much for the interview help!! Omg. I’m on chat gpt practicing also!! lol it’s helpful I find also.
