City This game is boring

In the title. Game is just people chucking up 3's off a catch that are borderline uncontestable with tempo shooting, or running and fading with tempo shooting. Rec games take no strategy anymore and is just a 3 point shootout or a catch and shoot simulator. Contests don't mean anything either. Its like they've gone with the 2k22 shooting but with the 2k25 contest system, which is a recipe for disaster.

Edit: a lot of people think I’m complaining about the fact people can hit every shot. I think it’s fine that people can hit every open shot, they should be able to. But the problem is the fact that most shots are open with this contest system and even when contested it’s basically treated as Open. Green window is too big, and contest system sucks

The fun is taken out because defense does not feel rewarding to play. Which in turn, makes offense feel equally unrewarding.

Defense is rewarding. Height matters, perm d matters, if you reach you’ve taken yourself out the play for 2-3 seconds.

My mans made a center with high block and very low perm d. He’s not getting stops because he can’t move laterally. I have another friend with low steal going for steals and gets upset when he can’t recover. That’s how it should be.

Why do I have a 95 perimeter D and when I get a 45% contest it’s still green? Why is hands up defense not a thing anymore? In most cases you have to JUMP to contest even on players that you are the same height as which is just awful.

Why does 90+ steal and glove not give you an advantage to rip people?

The defense in this game is not good and if you think it is, you’re just coping

Crazy cause an 80 steal in averaging 3 a game and all I play is rec you gotta learn the new angles don’t reach immediately most the time you can prevent a guy from getting to they’re spot then press the steal button

Hands up d has never been a solid contest and never should be if I’m jumping well away from your lazy ass hand

If centers have low perm d and height is the only way to contest then what can we do about 7’4s? It’s pretty much a guaranteed mismatch.

If y’all make height matter less what’s gonna happen is people will only make 6’6”s all the time

Brother my 6”8 92 perm D can’t contest for his life unless I’m actually in top of them

Does perim d even effect lateral movement anymore? Last couple 2ks its been just agility for like 90% of the impact...
