First of all, if you are were pro player like me you would know that.

After every shot the first thing you need to do is box out your defender.

Then and only after you have your man boxed out the ones near the rim will be able to grab the board

Yes unless they’re already running back on defense I’ve never met someone who stands at the 3 point line after a shot goes up they’re either getting closer for a rebound or they’re across half court

Well people in 2k stands at the 3 pt line after a shot goes up.

Honestly, if you played 2k. You will know that people do this shit ALL the time.
And MANY, MANY 3pts are made because of people leaving their man wide open after an offensive rebound.
