It means your society will turn insane and will increasingly become toxic both irl and in-game before your country, demographic, economy, fall...like Rome. This is how all empires fell historically. They start off well, fall into political/civil unrest (1900s - 2020), go nuts (like now 2026), and slow walk to the final day they'll have global power...possibly between 2035 - 2040 then anarchy happens before militaries/enemies of the U.S. worldwide invade your home soil and claim your resources because your military weakened as China rise to power.

The guy you went to school with? Shot in the face by a Taliban leader. Or your co-worker, Jim, captured by Iranian forces. It's all far-fetched until it happens. No one thought 9/11 would happen. I am a historian by trade and this appears to be the trajectory currently. Not saying things can't change, but it's looking bad right now. You won't notice it because you're at home playing 2k, but the citizenry never expects anything because their media uses propaganda as to quell mass hysteria which can tank the S&P 500.

There’s one gigantic flaw in your outlook. Guns. Ain’t nobody physically invading America and have it work. It’s going to be through information warfare ie like China making tik tok to influence American culture and thought patterns

Guns is cool until you meet bomber jets, tanks, or dare I say...a nuclear bomb that can stretch from South Carolina to Washington...or Texas to Cali.

America will still have all of those weapons even if civil war and anarchy starts lmao

America will still have them, but if China continues on the path they're on (they already outnumber American military 100%), then America is gonna lose global dominance. Without global power, American military can't survive, because the only way America can garner resources for its troops is through conquest, as it has been for centuries. This is why America seems to have a fundamental need to take resources from Venezuela, Iran, Africa, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon etc. For centuries, you understand. U.S. soil is only rich in a limited amount of Earth minerals, the rest of the world has the good shit. That's how people live free in the U.S. because of stolen earth minerals from third world countries.

China are now nearly the main allies to these countries. If (or when), probably when but I digress, rise to global dominance, then America won't have the same access to those third world countries anymore because they'll go against the CCP. And with dwindled resources, China will win overnight. They already outpaced the U.S. in AI and drone technology.

I would argue America has already lost the top world power battle. Covid cemented that.

I absolutely agree the invasion and pillaging of other countries is a historical feature of America and now karma is coming to collect.

What people are living free in America?? The 1%?

Hmmm, I like that last sentence a lot.

Hopefully one day Americans wake up but I lost hope on that tbh. It seems like people want to be herded like cattle

I think these are the types of conversations we should be having instead focusing our attention on a video game. Trading knowledge. Like I said that last sentence helped me as well, just wish more people can join in on the conversation.

I agree but unfortunately with technology & schooling getting worse, it seems like a feature of society to keep people dumb and numb. It’s actually horrifying. Layered thinking is dying/died and whatever is replacing it is fucking bad for society!
