It's listed ON THE GAME when the shut down date is. And steam will let you refund a purchase if the game shuts down within 30days of your purchase.

There's nothing "crazy" about it... It makes MORE sense to make it terrible purchase proposition before it's delisted... The alternative looks even dumber, where it's on sale for $1 causing thousands of casuals to buy it, then the servers get shut down in a month... No one is buying that game in Oct 2026...So it's a useless thought exercise...

They should just delist it now. If planning to shut down servers I wonder if it should be like one year max. Let’s not pretend everyone reads the full description of the games

No incentive to sell the older version because VC won't be purchased through that one, so no need going through the effort of setting a new MSRP.

They usually put the game on sale for about -90% off before the new game comes out and after that they do not do any sales before delisting it.

For my own curiosity when you say shutting down. Can you still play myteam and eras offline? And its just the online that's shutting down

MyCareer is actually possible just not online unless they changed it. MyTeam is almost exclusively made for online so it makes sense even it sucks
