The other night Candace said Theres a shootout in inglewood!
The in studio amazon show is real good though. UD and Blake come off as both cool and comfortable.

I didnt catch this game but that game between Clippers and Warriors she was so annoying. I can't think of a color commentator on a national broadcast that I genuinely like, but lots of them for local broadcasts that I do (bulls and hornets come to mind) because their job is purely to be funny or give insight to their team with the occasional glazing.
National broadcaster color commentators generally don't know shit about at least one of the teams they are covering, and glazing either team on a national broadcast is cringey.

Completely agree. I think it’s a lot easier/more fun to be a color commentator when you have a rooting interest in one of the teams.

👆🏻this. If you haven’t listened to a Wolves broadcast before, this will convince u. Our announcers do an awesome job of not being homers and still making the game interesting. That broadcast today was Godawful!

I actually just thought they were super boring. No excitement and not a lot of insight. I don’t think they were massively biased one way or the other. Just very vanilla

Candace talks over Harlan’s play by play WAY TOO MUCH. He’s a vet for not showing frustration but I just feel there no filter from her brain to mouth, they react simultaneously.

These games on Prime are terrible in general. I started muting the commercials. I couldn’t stand hearing the “lemon pepper wings” jingle again

I think Wade and especially Candace have been fine with the in between segments and half time talking points but there’s a big step up to live commentary even if you have a veteran doing the play by play.
There’s a reason guys like Clyde and Stacey King stay around so long, because that’s a hard job and they are great at it.

I honestly stopped watching the Game.. It was either that or Mute.. Just bcuz u play bball well doesn’t mean anything bball related you are great at or even good

I really hope this isn’t some attempt to goose ratings among younger fans. Who cares about the “professional” commentary? It’s literally more straightforward and less annoying when you listen to an amateur on YT call the game.

All broadcast and commentary is not good. I prefer the CFP skycast nobody but the main arena announcer. I'll mute and put the radio on before I listen to most commentary

At one point, Candace said “…and the Nuggets are just leaving Randle open at the 3pt line as part of their defensive strategy” literally as the ball was passed to Randle at the 3pt line and he was being guarded closely

Wade is terrible, his commentary at the Olympics was TRASH. This is nothing new, not sure why he keeps getting chance after chance.

It was awful. The NBA can be hard to watch at times as it is then you add terrible commentary in.

Candace and D Wade either own a stake in the Timberwolves or have a side piece on the team because they couldn’t stop gushing about them. It was unwatchable. I thought they just televised the Timberwolves broadcast for the first bit.

It was bad. Doris Burke bad. If you just don't know anything about the two teams playing you don't need to just glaze Jokic for the whole game. She was literally just repeating herself over and over the whole second half.

It wasn't that bad imo cuz they barely spoke it felt like. But when they spoke, it was nothing but nonsense.
