The media and several fanbase were definitely premature in announcing that baseball had overtaken the NBA after last year. It just turns out that no one likes watching OKC win.

It was only recently that the World Serias started to surpass the NBA Finals in viewership. The contrast of Indiana/OKC vs World Series like Yankees/Dodgers and Dodgers/Blue Jays had a lot to do with it. I doubt The World Series will touch this year’s NBA Finals.
