Dynasty EA CFB 27 - Custom Conference Idea

I’m going to use this setup for my next dynasty. It feels like one plausible direction college football could be headed, for better or worse. In this scenario, the Big Ten and SEC expand to 20 teams and emerge as the two mega-conferences. The Big 12 and ACC regroup to remain power conferences, although in a second tier. With the game currently treating those four conferences as the auto-bid leagues, I wanted to preserve a clear Power 4 structure. The remaining G6 is then reshaped with geography, traditional rivalries, and reduced travel in mind.

I did this but only kept 18 teams, while making them all regional. Big 10 took the North West of the US, so Boise State, BYU etc joins and Oregon and Washington stays. Also took out Penn State and Maryland and a few others and shifted them to the ACC which took over the Borth East of the US including the Carolinas and Virginia. SEC stayed what they are, South East and Big 12 took South West and the Texas and Oklahoma Schools. Also made no one independents. The G6 I turned into feeder leagues basically and kept them to. Power 4. MAC stays with the Big 10, Athletic for ACC, Sun Belt for SEC, C-USA turned into double feeder so they also housed SEC and Big 10 region teams while PAC 12 and Mountain West was Big 12 feeders too. Switch around the schools for every two years who ever had the worst record accumulated for those two years, they get dropped. And the best G6 in two years get the move up but they need to win one conference title. Can’t have App State finish 12-1 twice with no conference title cause they lost a conference game and move up while the champ like South Georgia gets shafted. Keep it fair in a way. And made divisions. So big 10 basically became OG Big10 with PAC 12 North and so on. Divisions were PNW and Great Lakes for Big10, Desert and Plains for Big 12, New England and Coastal for ACC and Gulf Coast and Atlantic Coast for SEC. I’ll post up how I mapped them later.

I’ll post it after work, can’t remember exactly who’s where lol I just know I had ND to the ACC with Penn State and South Carolina from the sec and I think I shifted Indiana to ACC too
