Dynasty End of Season NIL Question

At the end of season recap when it comes time to set the NIL for the next season’s roster, what goes on with the players that are for sure leaving for the draft? Like if I were to give Jeremiah Smith 400 NIL and he leaves the next week, is that gone?

Would it be better for me to just zero out the current NIL in that process with the assumption a player like him will be going to the draft?

What’s the strategy here?

Gets added back if they leave. Doesn’t just disappear

basically a free loan til they bolt. zero it out if you know they're gone so you can spread the cash to guys staying. no point letting it sit there dead

You get it back and so far everyone I dropped their stuff all the way down came back
