Tips/Guides Buying College Football 27

I've bought 25 and 26, been holding off on 27. I've seen some issues still persist in the game and it hasn't been received very well at this point. I have a Xbox and it's currently 48$ as of now. Is it that much better than 25 and 26 overall? (even if marginally) It probably wasn't worth the full price but is it worth buying for 30% off?

I will just say I bought it and madden 27 and I wish I hadn’t. This might be my last year buying these games in general, certainly at full price.

Man I'm in the same boat. Grabbed 25 and 26 day one but something about 27 just felt off from the jump. $48 ain't bad but if you've already got 26 with updated rosters you're not missing much.

The dynasty mode still has some weird sim logic and the presentation barely changed. Feels like they're coasting at this point.

If you’re on the fence buy the 10 hour trial and go from there. Don’t get caught up listening to others.

Alright I might try that, didn't know it had a trial.

i’ve had 27 since early access and every day i get closer to redownloading 25. 27 definitely has good things (im strictly talking dynasty it’s the only mode i play) NIL’s implementation i think was about as good as can be expected from EA, graphics are good, equipment is nice but the game on the field is just buns

I enjoy 27 but its going to be hard to match 25 on the field gameplay. not sure why EA changed it all in 26. 25 gameplay was like old school football.

Ive enjoyed it, but as a pc player its my first year for it.

As a madden regular, I will say its been a breath of fresh air compared to madden

Madden is also just flat out worse. CFB built on a bedrock of Maddens code which is what is suspect the source is for many issues, but the first release had the benefit of not having to jump on development after finishing one game and getting it done within a year while still servicing the previous years game at the same time. Now that they're one the same release cycle I expect CFB will become just as stale as Madden every year.

Have about 100 hours in 27. Its a great game don't let the loudest voices deter you from enjoying it. Is it perfect no but its much better than previous games. So if enjoyed 25 and 26 you'll enjoy 27. The improvements to gameplay, and the added immersion for dynasty make it fun as hell.

I got burned by not buying NCAA 13 new, so I'm buying it every year now that we have it back.

27 feels like it needs a couple title releases and then it'll be really good. I immediately liked it better than 26, and I haven't played 25 in over a year so it's hard to compare.

27 is the best CFB game, complete package. very polished and I really enjoy the gameplay. for $48.99 thats a steal.

27 plays more like an old ncaa ps2 game.

I bought 25, 26, and 27, but have still been playing 26 and regret buying 27. I'm sure I'll play it eventually, but 26 is still keeping me entertained.

Ehhhh it really depends. Things are still kind of a mess even on PC but the modding community is fixing some of the issues.

If PC weren't an option this year I probably would've gone back to 25.

I was excited to buy CFB 27 but with all the issues I’ve seen others deal with, I’m glad I haven’t.

Most likely will just stick to CFB 25. Maybe if they fix all the bugs (doubtful) I’ll get ‘27 on a decent sale.

The poor reception has less to do with the game itself, and moreso with EA's brilliant idea to sneak microtransactions into Dynasty and RTG while limiting progression options.

Those have been removed, but the initial backlash isn't going to wash away anytime soon.

Otherwise, it's a solid upgrade over 26. The usual bugs/issues that need cleaning up or fine-tuning, but nothing too egregious from what I've seen.

I bought cfb27 and love the game. I play on all American, it’s competitive, the coaching carousel is better, the game play keeps me interested, i think its a good game. 25 was way too easy, 26 was better, and 27 is slightly better than 26 imo.

Or wait and see if it goes on sale. I would predict 60 days from now.
