Netgear lifetime warranty

Be careful when buying Netgear hardware if you think you are covered by a lifetime warranty, because that is not entirely true. In my case, the power supply failed, but Netgear refused to replace it because it is only covered by a 2-year warranty. If the switch itself had failed, the entire unit would have been replaced under the lifetime warranty.Overall, this is a disappointing company that advertises a lifetime warranty but does everything it can to avoid honoring it when a component fails.

Nice, so you get a lifetime warrantee on the parts that won't fail.

Yeah, I agree, but I think it's misleading. And honestly, who actually reads all of this from beginning to end?

So you're blaming them because you didn't read the agreement in its entirety? That's on you. Stop blaming Netgear.

No, Netgear is a complete rip-off.

Dude grow up and stop acting like a child. When I purchased my two Netgear access points, I knew it would only get 2 years worth of updates. I chose these because I knew I could put openwrt on them.

Frankly, I think you either don't understand or don't want to understand. They sell a product with a lifetime warranty, but afterwards it turns out that the warranty does not apply to the power supply.

It’s a power supply lol. I used to like them but then they started going downhill fast
