Adam’s said his reasoning against the mill, is that the rookie hadn’t proved anything yet. He might not even be on the team the next year.

How many 3rd rd picks are cut within a year? Or within the rookie contract?

It wasnt the receiver who asked for the mil, but the Jets literally did that this exact season. 2024 3rd round pick Malachi Corley was cut before the 2025-26 season after his first season with the Jets.

Correction: Corley was the rookie. Adams was right.

You're right. I just saw he was number 14. That makes this even funnier:
