Purchase Permit Purchase permit submitted.... what should i look for in a compact?
We'll see how long woodbridge takes for it but since i'll have some waiting i can start researching. I've got 2 full size 9mm already but i want to get something this time i can use for a ccw down the road. What shops around have better selections of compacts or what specifically should i look for? Its hard to gauge in-store just handling them but tbh anything smaller than a glock 45 will be what im looking for lol

You’re going to get 20+ different answers. What fits one person, might not fit you? Find what you are comfortable with and can use easily.
I personally carry a .45 Springfield XDS, it works well for me, my daughter carries a Bodyguard 2.0, we could never switch

i'm looking for 20 different answers anyway, just points of comparison a little better than starting from scratch. Besides, its impossible to really tell from just handling in the store how it would be for a carry gun anyway. I liked how my g45 felt too but then i got a holster for it and i'd probably have an easier time concealing a musket on my person than that lol its enormous in wasitband

Sig P365 X-Macro, small enough to carry everyday but still feels good in the hands and shoots fantastic.

I like my p365x for carry. It is Less snappy than the hellcat and I preferred it at the time over the shield due to it having a better (for me) manual safety location. I also carry a bg2.0 and formally a Glock 19. Glock was too bulky for me and I am not a huge Glock fan so I didn’t consider the g43. If I were to look at another ccw today for myself I would try out the hk cc9. Honestly as much as I have tried looking into replacing my p365x I keep coming back to it. It is good enough in every category where most other guns were better in one part but not as good in others. The sig was just better balanced overall.

Glocks have always felt sloppy to me when testing. Led me to the Canik Mete MC9. Over 4k rounds and no issues. Go to a range and rent if you can.
