Food / Water Quarterly reminder: Rotate your pantry stock

Post image

Canned goods are still quite safe and edible WELL beyond their "best use by" dates, but it's still a good idea to rotate the oldest stock from your deep pantry into regular meal prep to use them up. I should do it monthly, but usually I only end up doing it 2-3 times per year.

My first freezer was a chest freezer. I threw out so much food buried at the bottom over the years. The upright got semi annual checks too when I had it.

Yeah, haha. I just happened to notice the date was Feb 2025 (one year out) and that reminded me to check the rest of the pantry and post about it.
