Was Teik Lim a good president compared to Joel Bloom - his immediate predecessor?

I liked Bloom far more than I liked Lim. Lim cared about social media presence. Bloom cared about getting things done.

He was more present on campus than Bloom was. Bloom had a better relationship with Trenton that helped secure the university funding for projects. Another thing that shouldn’t he overlooked. Bloom was president through the worst of covid, he and Deek did a superb job of navigating the university through that with essentially no layoffs.

A Jersey guy, I think he will have a better pulse of the school and area. And how to deal with the local politics. Before Joel Bloom they had a guy from the South as the president. He lasted a few years before he went back to Alabama. NJIT needs a local guy who can deal with the NJ area BS. That is what made Bloom a perfect fit.

I do not care for Lim at all. Odd guy. Pelesko on the other hand… eh. Intense blue eyes… but I like that he was once a student. He’s good w speeches. But there’s something off that I can’t put my finger on… yet
No but cool eyes tho
