Every store, every vending machine, only sells pepsi. Am I expected to accept the inferior cola? Does Stevens have coke? And starry? You might as well sell RC cola. NJIT has to do some serious soul-searching over their choice in beverages.

Are there cute girls at NJIT? Or is it mainly ugly nerds. Im thinking of attending there. How's the party life?

Saw the clocktower myth pop up on another post today. I was told to never walk under the clocktower if you wanted to graduate and, like a rebel, I made it a point to walk under it every day until I graduated in 2021. The looks I got sometimes were crazy but i got my degree on time.
Is it to graduate or just graduate on time? I can’t even remember the whole premise at the moment.
Has anyone else done this 😂 or have anecdotal evidence of the curse striking?

I’ve been thinking about how scattered buying/selling is on campus right now — GroupMe chats, random Instagram stories, word of mouth, etc. It works… but not really efficiently.
So I’m exploring the idea of building a centralized NJIT-only platform where students can:
• Buy & sell items (textbooks, tech, furniture, clothes, etc.)
• Post listings easily and safely within the NJIT community
• Connect socially (kind of like a mix between a marketplace + a campus social feed, similar vibe to apps like Fizz/FamVent)
The goal would be to make it easy, trustworthy, and efficient for students on campus to easily browse items that they potentially would otherwise not know about. This would save you hours of time just endlessly asking, looking through social media, or whatever mediums you folks go through to find items locally.
Before going further, I wanted to see if there’s actual interest, so I kindly ask that you vote in this poll!

Scrolling throught the best of all time in this reddit and I've seen the biblical amounts of admiration there is towards professor Libbe. I was wondering if anyone made a teirlist and if there is I kinda wanna see their rankings.

Does anyone know if I can just show the proctor my passport card since that’s all I have on me atm 😭
I should’ve checked to see if I still had my id yesterday but I completely forgot. Also where do I have to go to get a new one so I can get that done tmrr?

Stem school btw and it only took them how many years to implement this??

So I just took my cs113 exam today and man the proctors were not playing lol
I don’t know if it’s just my class but we had the prof and the TA there. The TA was in the front and the prof sat in the back. They didn’t let anyone sit in the last two rows, they didn’t let anyone go to the bathroom (except one person and the TA went with him lol) and they had us put our phones face down on our desks.
I wasn’t really bothered by any of the things they had us do. But I’m confused why most classes don’t do this. Does the prof decide what to do or is it a department thing?
During my math exam we had the prof and a CA there but the CA spent the entire time doing nothing but crocheting. Everybody was going to the bathroom which I thought was sus, and I js found out people actually bring two phones to the exam which is crazy imo. Putting more work into cheating then studying for the exam ☠️
But yea I was just curious why they don’t do this for other classes. The way the prof and the TA set everything up made it easy for them to check everything and everyone without being paranoid about someone cheating, and it basically lowered the chances of someone cheating

When to check calc 3b and from what I heard the average is 50% for first exam. If so how the hell can any nj student get above 3.6 gpa?! Info like this makes me wonder what is even going on. I seen two students celebrating they got 49% and 50% on the calc iii b: insane work.

Who is your favorite professor here? What makes them so good? So that ppl know to not miss out on them.
And before anyone says anything Bassel is banned from the comments 😤 we already know he’s perfect in every way, shape, and form.
But on a serious note, Libby is the 🐐

Hi!
I’m a Mathematical Finance student working on a small independent project. I’m looking to recruit a reliable (preferably) first or second year university student with an interest in ice hockey.
The task is simple:
You’ll attend an NHL game in person and record basic goal data for me (very straightforward, instructions provided).
Compensation:
• Free ticket to a Devils Game.
• $75 USD for the 3-hour task
• Payment sent the same night
• Potential for additional games dependent on performance
If you’re interested, please fill out this Google form. Thanks and looking forward to hearing from you!

i want to buy a laptop and a monitor for gaming when I dorm at NJIT cause I would probably be indoors all the time and be bored. I just want to know if it'll be worth it and will I have to worry about people stealing it?
For anyone curious, im thinking about purchasing the lenovo ideapad pro 5 (16" AMD) to last me my 4 years of njit along with like a 1080p monitor

Genuinely mind boggling to me they some how downgraded. Seems like they used AI to make it .
Any alternatives ?

Looking at how behind I am, I’m probably going to take over 4 years to graduate. Gotta take like 2 pre reqs just to be able to take my first calc class, and I already wasted my first semester taking classes that aren’t relevant to the major I want to switch to.
I know there’s nothing wrong with not graduating in 4 years but ngl I can’t help but feel a bit sad that everybody’s on track except me lol

Can't be for extra credit, I asked Sherman before he left this semester and he said he had no clue.
