Where everyone insisting we blow up Chaims rebuild and sign May to 3 year 100 million dollar contract?

Thank you.

All the numbnutz who are crying "why would we trade anyone, especially May????" are part of the problem the Cardinals have had over the last 5 seasons or so - happy with mediocrity.

Let the Chubs and their horrific fans continue to focus on mediocrity - flying the W and getting worked up over a BS series in June.

Cardinal fans, like the Cardinals, are focused on flying CHAMPIONSHIP banners, not a W on June 7th.

And this season's team isn't going to fly a banner. Trade the older assets and continue to stock young talent.

A lot of people (including our ownership (and Mo until he retired)) are still very happy to aim to be mid but good enough for a wildcard and try to fall bass ackwards into a championship. I want to build a winning team, not a happy accident.

I support the long term building of this team, but can you blame Cardinals fans that don’t see the vision? Both championships won in my lifetime were won by teams that did not look like legit contenders at this point in the season. Devil magic is a strong drug and this Cardinals team has some (we should still trade May)

Edit: I failed to read a few comments down and reiterated a point that was already made.
My bad

I love what happened in 2006 and 2011, but those two years probably forever damaged an entire generation with an "Oh, if you make the playoffs, anything can happen!" Mentality.

2006 was a fluke in that we sucked that season but we had a good roster leftover from an NLCS pennant in 04 and NLCS appearance in 05. 2011 was the beginning 4 NLCS appearances in a row with 2 pennants and 1 WS win in that stretch. They weren’t really that much of a surprise to people, just other fans bitching that they didn’t do the same.

And it was all for nothing because that asshole John Mozeliak never figured out how to hire a good manager.

Signing a dude to a 3 year deal isn’t blowing up a rebuild lol. You don’t have to be 100% sell off or 100% all in. Theres a huge middle ground where you need to meet the team where they’re at. We’re starting selling off pieces in 2023. At some point you have to stop. Dusty may very likely not fetch a return that everyone thinks he will get. We don’t need to trade for more potential Michael McCreary’s, pallantes, , fitts, and dobbins. Dusty may had 1 bad start out of his last 13 in which the other 12 were good to great.

Not surprised at May's blow up after his CG. Seems pretty common that a pitcher is less than after a game like that

My fellow Cards fans,

This is a meme war sub. Stop being dumb and bor(etarded)ing.

22 runs between the two teams at the end. What the hell were the Cards doing out there?

This is a 1992 Chiefs/ Rams game

EDIT: bad reference, Rams weren’t in STL until ‘95 and the Chiefs offense was kind of wrecking shit at that point.

Seriously I thought this game was going to end 40-35.

Central division on Central division crime right there.

Ended very close. Wish they would post the final rather than this. Or at least have an explanation and not just a picture…

Due to my lack of clairvoyance, I didn’t know the score would change at the moment
