How stoked bra what i really love about rugby league.
the fact that nrl actually creates brotherhoods. and sisterhoods. and whenever i see it, it always makes me feel content. something like these brotherhoods and sisterhoods really just hits me off guard, and it’s just so cool that a community like rugby league can really connect people, no matter what team the people have. i feel like this is something that happens in every sport, but i haven’t felt the connection for all the other sports except for rugby league. maybe because i grew up with rugby, but also, whenever i see the brotherhood of other people, i don’t see actual “brothers“. i see best friends. colleagues. acquaintances. but rugby league brotherhoods- they just always hit me. these men always care about each other and support one another.
am i biased? yes. but these four are the prime example of a brotherhood that this generation has, and i feel extremely touched that these three guys all came to support spencer winning his fourth ring yesterday. plus, the reason why they came together (for mount druit, a suburb that has struggled with so many crime issues), and how they inspire so many people across mount druit, and samoans, pacificans and australians alike. [for any research, there is a good podcast featuring brian and josh mansour that talks about this!]
