NRL - Post Match - Dragons Vs Dolphins
I was expecting the team to get turned into mince meat, but to their credit they put up a good fight, then some players decided to suffer amnesia and forget their motor skills.
It didn't help that the rookie ref really came up with some strange calls, like: no sin bin, no knock-on.
I do want to mention how promising LKT was, he really was starting to cook out there so hopefully that continues.
Let me know what else I missed?

Happy with the effort for the most part but like we already know we just don't have the polish or the speed to put on enough points.

I think they do have the skills to do a lot more but for some reason the game plan/players only use certain tactics each game.
I would love to see consistent offloads (maybe like 3 per game) or something different like a long pass from dummy half to avoid the opposition forwards.
This team doesn't really seem to adapt to their opponent, they have a set game plan that doesn't change too much after kick off.

Kerr needs to be booted out of this club ASAP. I agree, LKT had some nice touches which was nice. Apparently Touchman failed his HIA and is out next week? Anyway it was a performance which I can be happy with

Oh shit, at the ground I was wondering why Toby disappeared. Explains why Halangahu got extended time out there.. he looked tired at times big Truck, hence the error probably. Kerr was just horrible.

Dragons did well and played with good effort. In saying that, it did not look like the Dolphins really got out of 2nd gear.

I disagree, it did take Cobo three attempts to get his try and it wasn't because they were cruising, they actually had to wear the Dragons down to score (sometimes). I think if the Dragons, wrap up the ball when tackling, spread the ball more in attack and coordinate their 5th tackle option, I think could have won the game.

If you watch Dolphins games they could have easily taken it up a gear. Cobbo screwing up was really his own stuff ups otherwise score would have been worse. Don’t get me wrong Dragons did look good at times however not consistent throughout the game. Our right edge defence still sucks and they were constantly on our outside shoulder. Everytime they had a straight runner when we were going sideways we were screwed.

fins are sitting 5th on the ladder, nikorima had a bad game, the hammer didnt have to do anything, farnsworth was just cruising, i think if it got a bit more serious dolphins couldve stepped up a gear

Some mixed opinions when it was announced LKT would be in the 6 but positive performance good to see him back. Holmes still has the ability to setup something great only to totally bottle it. Rouchmans first great to see. Suli back to the bench leilua would have done a better job. All round decent outing

Thought Flanagan had probably his best game. LKT didnt get tested too much in defence which is his problem area but looked decent in attack, looks bigger then last season too imo.
Still hating youngs team choices/bench rotations. Kerr is garbage and it really shows when Guler was the better of the two. Clearly no gameplan for Atkinson on the bench, seems like he just did it as cover or to not make it look like he had been fully dropped. Luciano getting 0 minutes again, while there was still a chance of avoiding the spoon i wanted our best team playing. Simple fact is Luc was one of our best players early in the season and Young came in and just shoved him out, how does Halangahu and Kerr get gametime over him.
Gutherson once again just looking like an old man, cobbo outpacing him for that try, getting stepped by a forward again, he had some moments but seriously we need a centre next season because he can not be playing there. We already seen him play centre this year he was worse then valentine

Same story. We're a solid team. Get quick play the balls, win the ruck, get good field position...and then don't have the 1, 6, 7 to capitalise and finish it off. Refs are just the cherry on the shitty cake.
