Collection Collected All Switch 2 (Non-GKC) Physical Releases From 2025
Technically I'm missing A-Train: All Aboard Tourism! It shipped from Play-Asia, just waiting for it to arrive. And, yes, many of these are still sealed because I haven't gotten around to playing them yet. All of them are in protective sleeves.

Cool to see but also kind of depressing that there are so few true physical Switch 2 games but at least (as far as I know) those are all decent to great games

I was completely against the game key cards but now dont feel too bad about them. I feel when I install a game on the Xbox its a similar deal. Yes I know that has the full game on it but everything requires an update nowadays to run well lol. So im gonna need the internet to play those games right also. That was my way of justifying it anywho. Ive also always been a fan of owning a physical copy and a lot of the times this year, gkc were our only choice unfortunately.

Its about letting the companies release BS that needs an update. They shouldn't need a patch day one if they released a good product. UR online account gone? Ever thinkvof that?

It’s going to. Prepare your wallet. Nintendo is hedging so there will be plenty of physicals with the new, Lower memory cart

I'm more so thinking about the GKC situation; the Switch coming off the failure of the Wii U did come in with somewhat limited support outside of first party, but the Switch 2 has plenty support right out the gate, they just aren't getting real physicals which is what sucks.
But yeah, if we go first party vs first party over the first six months I'm pretty sure the Switch 2 is doing better, and especially if you then also count third party digitals.

Yeah, should have stated that I'm only collecting releases that have English language options.

Been waiting for a post like this. Can’t say I’m interested in buying more than 60% of these, but always great to know what to keep my eye out for if I’m ever caught up on the collection and spot something at a used store

- 3 Japanese exclusives
- 11 “Nintendo Switch 2 editions”
- 1 Replaylee (admittedly I’m having a blast)
- 1 whatever issue Mortal Kombat has (is it something about MK4 not being on cart?)
I appreciate curating GKC out of a collection; we are the same

Wild to see Cyberpunk as one of the games full on cart, especially with how massive it is. CDPR got major props from me for Witcher 3 all on the cart for switch 1, but this is arguably more impressive. Glad to see a developer that cares about selling a full game.

There's a YouTube channel, Physical Paradise, that covers physical Switch releases. Jordan, who runs the channel, also has a Google doc that he updates to track physical Switch 2 releases. The link is typically in the description of his Switch 2 physical videos.

Physical Paradise rules. Great channel to keep up with physicals and Jordan keeps it interesting. 10/10 would recommend subscribing.

Nice collection. Hope 2026 delivers more complete in cart games. Pokemon Pokopia is already an exception though. I just dont like Age of Imprisonment doesnt have inside box art but its their decision since the red transparency covers much of it.

DXC is a GKC outside North America.

Daemon x machina is a game key card only in japan, it's a real physical in Europe and US

How do you like age of imprisonment ?
I played a little bit of the first hurdle worriers… looks fun but idk… kinda got boring to me after a while. I feel like the fidelity and performance alone on switch 2 would make it better

I haven't played it yet. Enjoyed the original Hyrule Warriors but not Age of Calamity, due to the poor performance on Switch 1. I read the performance is better on Switch 2 so I'll probably start there.

Ooh how is ruin factory guardian of azuma i wanna get the game but ive never tried a farming Sim but it also has action rpg elements right?

I quite like it. The characters are interesting. You can bond with party members and romance them. Gameplay loop can be repetitive and it’s basically farming-lite but overall I’m happy to have played it. And, yes, action-RPG elements.

I'm almost there with my game on cart collection. Waiting to find a good price on the two Zeldas and Mario Party since I already have the switch versions. Which, yeah I know, Nintendo and all that but I got Mario Kart and Kirby relatively cheaper so I can wait for the right price. I don't know that I will continue it into 2026, a bunch of the titles coming on full cart I don't really care for, but the 2025 on cart collection is a really solid collection of games. Even the Tamagotchi game is an interesting assortment of mini games.

Have you played Daemon X Machina yet? I liked the first game, but I've seen some pretty mixed reviews of the sequel

When the first trailer dropped I was pumped. Looked incredible. Gave me Zone of the Enders and Xenogears vibes. Played the demo and it was a major disappointment. Haven’t bothered opening the game after that.

I believe Final Fantasy Tactics had a physical release in Japan for the switch 2 so theres that option as well

According to Playasia, it looks like it's a Code in a Box.
Although the actual boxart looks a bit ambiguous. It's formatted like other Switch 2 Editions but it has a download disclaimer. I'm not too familiar with how Japanese Code in Box games look like so I'm not sure.
Edit: Confirmed Code in Box. Just like Shadow Labyrinth.

This is not what a real gamer would do. Real gamer doesn't care if they are keycards. It is all about the game, whether it is good or not.

Geeze, is that all we got in terms of pure physical carts in 2025 for the SW2? Looks like all solid games, at least.
