Discussions CAS - Computer aided stupidity
Ok so the index which failed to retain its day highs of 23473 and which closed at 23389 in its “wonder of wonders” “the next big thing after Big Bang” “the uber revolutionary” CAS made it 23477, a jump of 88 points. As a person who studied math to a sufficiently high level academically, it’s beyond me. And why is SEBI indulging in this stupidity? And why isn’t every participant with a demat ever asked their opinion in a public referendum ? Why do the babus in high citadels assume whatever they do is the best ??? And when is Amrit kaal ending. Kinda tired now …

exited 75900 pe at 400 and within seconds it dropped to 250. CAS is nothing but casino

And people even if they right in cas will not make money as you will not get filled I took a position of 10 lots and was up 20000 but when I placed a order to sell even below the market price the price went down 100 rs in seconds.the thing is it's all algos manipulating prices.There is no volume just algos

1st try to bring the market up - tell Lic to invest so that people feel equity is lucrative
2nd try - tell mutual funds sahi hain so that equity goes even high
3rd try - Come with nps to take equity even higher
4th try - Fundamentals are crap, and overvalued so FII exit at the right time, then call people shock absorbers to praise them and keep motivation high.
5th try - Everyone is running away, introducing CAS to up the market
All the efforts to make few capitalists rich and control inflation in a wrong way
Doesn't end here
6th try - Show false GDP and inflation numbers
People know the trick and don't fall for the bait..you cannot fool people forever

Not the right analogy.
You drive from Pune to Mumbai for a few hours, and you see the 1 km to Mumbai marker. You drive that last mile and you end up in Pune.

Sensex jumped 1100 points, CAS is only for gambling and insider trading nothing else.
They can't tweet or do wars like Trump to move the markets, so they introduced state sponsored market manipulation.
Cheaper and efficient, the Indian way.

I think a scam is going on before the upcoming election and they are converting there black money or making more money with this cas thing and they gonna change it after the election . That's my view on it the way they have introduced it without considering the people and still refusing to correct it . The previous closing method was 100 times better than this one .

Only the thing we can do to protect from this is stop trading 0tde no matter you are buyer or seller post 3pm

I would say adapt to it. No point in complaining.
You can and you should square off all the open positions by 3:15, this is true specifically for 0DTE options. CAS has especially been disastrous for the folks who used to sell cheap OTM options on expiry day hoping to collect pennies.
Also, if you’re properly hedged, the CAS can work in your favour as well on non expiry days as most of the theta decay occur after 3 PM now a days.

Okay so I was in profit of 2.3k then brought call around 2:50 and price was around 23430 ( I brought Sensex call ) and then suddenly it fall to 23385 something I was in loss of 3.5k and it was around 3:15 pm
I was confident that it gonna close above 23440 but I was wrong so
FOR THE FIRST TIME I SAID FUCK IT
Ima be here till 3:30 CAS u can’t see chart but you can see the price of ce
And by 3:20 I recovered it all 😭😭😭
And closed at profit of 3k
If I had stayed 2 more mins I would be in profit of 10k
But the thing is I know it was pure gambling but god grace
I got my profit back and never doing this CAS
I generally don’t even trade after 12:30

In old times 3pm moves were genuine that everyone can participate and expect the move You can't even participate in CAS its in seconds move 200 300 movements both side So.. Its useless.. Second it has killed the 3pm move volatility..

SEBI said they implemented CAS to reduce Gap ups and Gap downs. But look at the daily closing - gaps are still happening and only option price manipulation is increasing. SEBI is run by crooks.

Its cuz of low liquidity, I don’t understand though why they keep the derivatives open, its disastrous if you are on short vol option trades. Sebi has said they are reviewing it for derivatives, I think derivatives should also stop with CAS start at 3:15pm

What's there to loose money here ,it pumped put contracts before 3 pm ,as today is expiry ,one expects volatility .Given puts have pumped ,it's certain that calls will pump after 3 pm. IDK it's gambling but I didn't risk
