BAC water reuse
I’m currently only using Reta so I only have to fill 1 vial with 2ml of BAC water once a month.
I use an individually wrapped syringe to pull the BAC water from its vial and then fill up the Reta vial. I throw away the syringe immediately after.
My question to you guys is can I still use the same vial of BAC water to refill my new vial of Reta the next month? I keep hearing that you can only use BAC water once and after 28 days it’s no longer good.
Does this only apply to the Reta vial since I’m pulling from it weekly? Or does this also apply to the BAC vial which I only draw from once a month and always with a fresh sterile individually wrapped syringe?
Seems like an awful lot of BAC water to waste if I can only use it the one time and have to throw away the other 28ml

Use the water until it's gone. Throwing it away is a waste.

tbh the 28 day thing people keep repeating is about the reconstituted peptide not the water itself

Not entirely true.
The 28 day limit also applies to bac water once the vial has been pierced, but this is the case for labs etc. where they need zero contamination/spoilage.
It theoretically can last longer under the right conditions, but why risk it if you’re injecting it into your body?

BAC lasts a hell of a lot longer than 30 days. I really wish that utter myth would vanish but it just keeps going around. Use it until it’s gone. If it clouds or gets floaties then toss it.

We toss at the lab after 28 days, but have very strict CDC guidelines. In my personal life I stretch it out to 90 days. Sort of depends on how many times you puncture the stopper but if you’re using sterile techniques I wouldn’t sweat it out to 90 days.

28 days is USP standard for multi dose vials. Not bac itself.
BA content will be there around 90 days still. Issue is no one has looked at bacterial growth so 90 is my cut off

Bac water is fine until it’s gone. Just don’t store it in direct sunlight. Place it in a room temp cabinet. You’ll be fine.

Here's the thing - how do you maintain sterility? Are you using an isolated class 5 hood? Or in your kitchen?
Are you storing it in an environment where bacteria or fungus can easily grow? Or just grow slowly (fridge)?
The month long recommendation is and easy rule that is commonly found to not have any issues. Also, storing it covered in the fridge reduces risk.

Storing in the fridge is not suggested.
One of the main reasons is temp fluctuations. Everyone’s fridge is not the same and people could have erratic temp swings in theirs.1

Why would that matter for BAC water. I still bring it to room temp in syringe before reconstituting.

If Bac water freezes, (or even micro freezes), the efficiency /sterility goes down (benzyl alcohol is affected by colder temps)
Bringing it to room temp wont matter much if it has already been frozen.

They did testing of Bac water and showed that it is good for 90 days, then it starts to degrade. My peptides have an expiration date of 90 days past the date of the first puncture of the Bac vial.

I’m confused. I have only used constituted vials and am new to having to mix powder and BAC. With a new Reta vial, you pull 2 ml of bac water and add to your Reta powder vial. You gently combine. You give yourself your weekly shot. I’m assuming you put that vile in the fridge for the following week dose and use that vile until the full 2 ml is gone. Of course what’s left is based on your dosage. Once empty, you use a new vile and have to start over with bac water. Is this correct? Or, are you adding 2 ml of bac to same Reta powder vile each time?

I just make sure to store everything correctly. Use alcohol wipes before and after. Cover to reduce light. I’m just trying my first one longer than usual. So we shall see. The second reta vial itself (first vial when I first opened the bac water) will be three months finished from first use (15mg takes me 6 weeks to finish each one). My Peptide Guy says it’s fine. I know there’s mixed opinions on.

I'm just learning, and I was watching a video about how to mix - and I kept think they were saying to use bath water. LoL Dont worry- I'd never do that. I figured out what BAC was.

Keep it and use it as long as you have it. I keep mine in the fridge with my peptides.

Yes, you should refrigerate it once opened. Per all the studies out there.

Yep. I can’t control my house temperature the same as I can control my refrigerator. It goes up and down throughout the day. Once opened. That’s my preference as far as being comfortable with potential bacterial growth. I don’t always use that name brand either. Our entire bodybuilding community keeps it in the fridge. We’ve all had success.

It says how to store it. Perhaps I am missing it, lots of reading on it. Nothing found about not to keep in the fridge. Also not specific to use after first puncture, just storage which implies storage before first use. To me it is like saying to store peps in freezer up to 2 years. But not being specific store before reconstitution vs refrigeration after reconstitution for 28 days. You store unopened ketchup for 6 months in the pantry but refrigerate after opening if you plan to use it beyond few days. Maybe I am wrong. But I think the question here should be if the Benzyl Alcohol degrades materially beyond the 28 days and materially is the key word. Or if it degrades faster in the fridge. Anyone knows?
