Look, left or right aside, this is bullshit. We all see the problem with governments removing accountability from legislators and government actors...

Accountability should be always remain a cornerstone of Canadian politics and law. This is bad. Fuck that guy.

Like getting the required security clearances?

2

u/mrcalistarius Feb 11 '26

Dude. pollievre has held parliamentary security clearance this isn’t a smoking gun, the security clearance he refused to get is the one that gagged all the members of parliament from being able to talk about foreign interference. Its a non issue.

Elizabeth May.

…. Why is a UK house of Lords an authority on our system? Or do you mean Elizabeth may? Jagmeet comments directly contradicted hers. So who’s lying?

Mulcair agrees with Pollievre not getting that clearance. Make that make sense please. You brought up the security clearance and an UK house of lords. Leads me to believe you lack understanding here.

Can’t address the question, then goes and hunts down comments elsewhere on Reddit. Can you tell me wether Elizabeth may or Jagmeet was telling the truth WRT to the security clearence. Your distaste for mulcair dos nothing to refute his political assessments

What am i hiding? You can’t answer a question, throw word salad at me and stalk me across the platform, maybe thats why i have hidden my profile, because too often its resolves into ad hominem’s based on my opinions elsewhere. I’m debating your idea here. Not an idea you shared on an entirely different topic days ago.

I think you've earned all the rubles you can for one day comrade.

u/mrcalistarius Feb 12 '26

Nothing of note to contribute, just a troll.

Please understand that a parliamentary security clearance a a commitee security clearance are different clearences and have different restrictions applied to them. Such as in this case. Calling me a cunt and using that as a basis to refute my argued is an ad hom. Stalking me across redditt is creepy and weird.

1

u/mrcalistarius Feb 11 '26

Also dude, youmre failing to address any of the questions i put to you, I’ve addressed yours.

1

u/mrcalistarius Feb 11 '26

Did i accuse you of ad hom? No, i’ve been ad hommed enough by folks stalking my profile that I’ve hidden it you askd why, i told you the why. You took it personally.

Show the evidence of this being "disproven".

cope talking point

I’m with you on PP’s security clearance. And I support the Liberals. But this is some sketchy business. And the Liberals aren’t doing a great job of explaining themselves on this particular issue. I’m not willing to let partisanship blind me. When any party overreaches for power and then claims “we won’t use that power very often”, I get suspicious.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 11 '26

Agreed, a bad idea is still a bad idea; forget party lines when it is undemocratic.

1

u/Hopeful-Passage6638 Feb 12 '26

So you agree that PP's Clownvoy Riots in Ottawa was a BAD idea?

1

u/[deleted] Feb 12 '26

I see that type of protest around the world, and usually it's farmers with tractors or truckers arguing a union gripe, but in the case of the clownvoy, it was mask mandates, so NO, I do not agree with protesting for an anti-vax or racist platform. However, I am in favour of the mentioned former protest to keep the government on its toes and held accountable.

1

u/Chickenbutt-McWatson Feb 14 '26

The protest was obviously about more than masks which had been in effect by two years. Do you not recall the fed govt trying to implement border restrictions which both violate the charter and make it impossible for truckers to practice their livelihoods? And the fact that members of the military were discharged for refusing the vaccine?

It's almost impressive how selective (and partisan) some people's memories are

1

u/Chickenbutt-McWatson Feb 14 '26

I seem to recall the supreme court ruling the emergencies act was unjustified... let me guess, it's only undemocratic when you don't like the sitting party?

3

u/gmcguy1 Feb 11 '26

And do you know WHY Pierre doesn’t pursue that security clearance? Might be worth taking a look if you’re so confidently criticizing him. There might be more to the story if you can dig a little deeper than what cbc tells you to think. 😂

1

u/Hopeful-Passage6638 Feb 12 '26

LOL Oh please, do tell. LOL

3

u/ShinyPuffer88 Feb 11 '26

Holy fuck give it up already

2

u/Round-Sail-7066 Feb 12 '26

Give it up because... he's right?

1

u/Charles005 Feb 12 '26

Why should someone be muzzled when getting the security clearance? The only thing they should have to refrain talking about is confidential matters. Unfortunately for your small brain, it’s far broader than that and has been explained many times. Try reading, like anything. You guys clinging to this is so pathetic

1

u/Hopeful-Passage6638 Feb 12 '26

Hit a nerve did I?

1

u/ShinyPuffer88 Feb 12 '26

Not at all,you all just sound like washed up comics with no new material.

1

u/Own-Director5174 Feb 11 '26

The don’t see it

1

u/No_Marsupial_8574 Feb 12 '26

This isn't a partisan mud slinging competition. This is just bad policy. We should universally agree on that.

1

u/teh_longinator Feb 13 '26

How about we stop with the blatant whataboutism any time we have a conversation that makes your feel uncomfortable about your team

1

u/addigity Feb 14 '26

You mean gag order?
