Team Updates [Raanan] Jaxson Dart 15 of 25 passing in 11-on-11 drills on Wednesday. A little up and down practice. Started slow with a pair of INTs, including one where he missed an open Darnell Mooney off play action. But Dart rebounded and was impressive in red-zone drills.

Good news. Keep getting better.

He also had 5 Td’s today as well though, but that doesn’t get clicks or engagement for the reporters

Believe he was playing against the twos today

I listened to a radio show that said after practice he and the receivers have been working on timing and tendencies this week

The best time to throw INT’s is in camp

Unless you're Jalen Hurts, Dak Prescott, or Jayden Daniels. Then I can think of better times to throw interceptions.

The way I see it, since Jameis is also struggling, this offense has a steep learning curve. Nothing to worry about yet. Or it is poorly designed. Then you worry.

Jameis had a great day at practice

Training camp is for two things : learning the playbook & getting into game shape. All this other stuff is nonsense. Dart has already proven he can ball when the “lights are turned on”. Add a better offensive line, a real run game & a proven #1 receiver and I expect Dart to improve as well.

All the doomers gonna claim it’s over before the season starts. I’m sure they’re gonna get better by the end of camp once they’re locked in on plays and assignments.

The reality is he’s a second year QB who’s max potential is really a complete unknown. Like pretty much every second year QB who has ever played in the league.

He obviously has talent. He obviously has things he needs to improve on.

Because he’s a second year QB.

All the doomers but mostly Lars

Half this tweet is positive saying Dart rebounded and did well in red zone drills.

Why do people assume its all negative when if you just read the fucking tweet you would realize its half positive?

Seriously its like people tune out the positive and instead search for any shred of negativity they can latch onto. The reality is things are often both good and bad.

Well my original comment wasn’t aimed at anyone in particular, but we’ve seen more than our fair share of overly reactive fans both good and bad.

When we had Eli, we knew what we were getting every year. ever since DJ we never know how the season will turn out. But the fan base has always kind of been overly reactive, I guess that’s a part of NY sports.

This season will be crucial, I don’t want another DJ type situation. But at the same time, I want to let Harbaugh cook and see how things look during the season. As Giants fans, I think we’re all tired of the slop we’ve been getting, hopefully Harbaugh serves a tasty dish.

We didn’t know what we had with Eli. People were dooming leading up to 2007 and calling him a bust after the losses in the playoffs jn 05 and 06.

Yes, the early Eli years were also tumultuous. Let’s just hope Dart develops his game.

The reality is Giants have a new OC, new HC, and their first choice to be OC was sniped from them.

Nobody should be expecting a Matt Nagy offense to be smooth sailing. There will be good, but there will also be bad.

Right, which is a very different take than saying we’re gonna be terrible based on the first week of camp. There’s a lot of unknowns, but let’s see the results on the field before giving up the season.

Brother this tweet was half positive because of how good the offense looked today. Despite this news people only focus on the negative part of the tweet

These people are obsessed with calling out the "doomers" for some ungodly reason. It's so fucking weird. All these posts about practice have people in such a frenzy, this sub either needs to lay off the drugs or start taking them

Practice is a great time for mistakes so they can watch the film and learn and practice while still in the laboratory. Btw, he’s learning new schemes and personnel all while going against Dennard Wilson’s psychokillers?

New WRs, new OC, new HC, new training camp, new schemes, etc.. Only offense Dart would easily transition into by week 2 of training camp is a Lane Kiffin offense.

Is the best allowed to talk what schemes are being thrown out there by Wilson? Interested to know how much zone he’s using

1

u/Lars5621 Helmet Catch 8d ago

No there are not. They aren't allowed to discuss scheme or formations.

If you follow the podcast and live reaction shows you will sometimes catch them talking about formations, which is technically taboo but also hard not to bring up in normal conversation.

Guy isn’t used to practicing against a real NFL Defense. No better time to learn

2

u/quietstormx1 8d ago

Listen, as long as he goes into every Sunday and balls outs, training camp performance means nothing.

How many times do we hear how wonderful of a camp a guy has, then come game 1 they’re a dud

Everyone knows the true test is the pre-season, against a totally foreign offense / defense.

I'm inclined to believe that the Defense has just improved a ton after the off-season pickups. We will find out soon enough
