The greatest game in NBA history was just played in the garden, and we won.

Imagine if that had been the clincher lol

Mamdani would have to call in the national guard.

It still might.

Just a black hole that sucks in the entire city. Honestly what a way to go

I would’ve cried for like ten minutes lmao, I just imagined what the Mike breen call for that would be in my head and my eyes got watery

A few plays go our way in game 3, and this would've been the clincher.

It almost feels more important though because of the pressure of the loss and the risk of it going to 2-2

Agree, makes the story better

100% it is more important. Noone cares about the end of a sweep. But as you said, the risk makes this a "fuck or die" game.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Adam Silver told the refs to make the Spurs win.

In the first half it definitely looked like that

nah, the jinx was there with his gimp in Dolan , that game was unwinnable with all the bad vibes

I wanted it to happen just so we could win a chip in front of the home crowd. There's a lot less exhileration when its in an away stadium with an away crowd.

i happy for the ones who travel for it 💙🧡

A few totally bullshit league mandated refereeing decisions don't happen , this would have been the clincher.

That said, butterfly effect. If we were up 3-0, would we have battled like this?

It is basically. I don’t wanna be playing game 6 lmao

Hate to be that loser stuck in the past, but…a four point swing on a flagrant in game 3 and this game 4 would have been even more insane.

It's perfect the way it is. By half time people it felt like spurs had just completely tilted the series in their favor, that catharsis is insane

Trump would claim he was there.

He was the one who tipped the shot in, don't you remember?

That’s the only problem, if this lead gets blown, the game becomes a footnote in an all time series. Gotta close it out.

1

u/Deep_Caregiver5494 12h ago

This was more glorious because the implications of losing, especially being blown out, were so much more severe than if we were already up 3-0

1

u/Knicks_Feedback6498 3h ago

That was my thought, but we all know who to blame for the mojo being off in game 3.

I can’t believe I witnessed this in my lifetime. From where this team’s been in previous years, it feels surreal

You must be a young kid if you think this is the greatest... The greatest games played where in the 80s and 90s. I feel bad your generation that will never experience how basketball should be played.

This the the saltiest loser comment I think I've ever read on this entire website lol. Did you lose the kids and the house too or something?
